best places to make a stronghold where and why

me i think going in the swiss alp's is the place to be i went there in 2009 and it would be amazingly easy to fortify most places as alot of places are up moutians and near trees for fuel and perfect weather during the summer to grow and stock pile food and in the winter due to zombies already being dead and have no warm blood so making them cool blooded they would freaze or become so slow  u could hack their heads of with a pen knife and dont worry since its swisserland theirs pleanty of swiss army knifes to go around

This is a picture of my place. Stone walls means no one coming through with out a small tank. ON a hill so makes it harder for raiders. I do have large first floor windows but it is nothing that some plywood, re bar and quick-krete won't take care of. I ave a water well, not city water. If/when the electric goes out I have a small generator for necessities. I can put together a small wind turbine in a couple days and gather car batteries and an inverter if needed when the SHTF. A couple lights, the water pump and electric motor on the firnace is all that needs to run. Maybe a computer too. We have canned food for days. As you can see I live in the sticks. There are plenty of farms around as well as deer and rabbits.

Im currently looking in to an old Spanish Mission in S. Texas, tall stone walls, large court yard with a well and already proven to withstand attacks and time aas its been completly renovated in the 60's it has wireing and A/C plus its with a hour of my house.

why don't you make a stronghold where you already are, once the zpoc hits, i doubt you're getting a ticket to switzerland, or anywhere else for that matter, stockpile and fortify where you are now, don't plan on going somewhere that you probably can't get to, that's about like planning a last stand, if you plan a last stand it will be your last stand

i agree, don't go anywhere to far away, you'll die, get infected or both. if you don't want to fortify your house, go to a parking lot or army reserve barracks
