I think the RE movies are ok. What faulted them was there focus on the Alice character. Had they focused there attention on the other characters, i fell the movie would have been epic. But rarely do video games turned movies do well with the critics. (Example: Super Mario Brothers)
That and giving Nemesis a heart. He has no heart. He is a biologically enhanced otonomous unstoppable juggernaut, with the soul purpose of killing everything it sees with extreme pregidous. (I will admit, the part in RE2 where Nemesis PWNS the S.T.A.R.S. was quite epic.)

Epic? C'mon, he wiped out the entire STARS crew, letting the funny dud3 alive, whaaaat a crap! Nemesis, barefighting, kicking? I agree he pushes, throws, and tackles, but kicking???? I mean, a robot? Seriously, u guys....

where the HELL did Alice come from? and why is Jill a chick on the sidelines that seems useless for the most part. And Leon? they skipped leon!? What the hell! and that guy is not suppose to be alive and that guy doesn't die yet and etc etc etc.
those were all the questions running through my head when I was watching the Second movie.
the first movie was good because I thought it was like maybe a side-line story during the mansion incident or something like that...but uh.......the second surprised me, and the third was like okay WTF.

Yeah not to mention that the original Dawn of the Dead is way better than the remake! Dont get me wrong I like the remake and all but nothing beats the original.

I don't know what I agree with...the effects and make-up now are ten times what they were in the originals. I think the bigger problems with remakes is the story line. Either change them or keep them the same. Don't use some of the story and change some things to make it seem like this was some big undertaking.
I do have to agree with you all about resident evil, on both sides. The movies weren't that bad, but the could have been better. The alternate story line with Alice is okay, but they could have done alot more to bring the videogame story closer to the movie. I like the work they did with nemesis, and Jill was almost dead on, as far as looks go. They could have done better with Claire in RE3, but they were just looking for another big name to fill a role.
