Permalink Reply by PRIME_Ω_PREDATOR on January 30, 2012 at 12:14pm There is no problem with guns. I reload and I stock up. I prepare for many situations. Just because society breaks down doesn't mean knowledge and ability goes away. Things may be harder to find but not impossible. I won't depends solely on guns and ammo. I am proficient with a bow and other tools. I can purchase a suppressor. I can make a suppressor, it isn't hard. I currently reload ammo at home. I know where local ammunition manufacturers are located and have been to their factories. They are basically larger set ups of what I do at home. The raw material can be located once it runs out. You've just got to have a way to get it out of the ground.
How many people here have ever obtained food at someplace other then the supermarket? How many people have hunted? How many people have grown their own vegetables and fruit? I have. My ammo will be used to not only protect myself and my family and friends from zombies it will be used to protect myself and my stores from fools who think it is someone else's job to provide for them.
Just because gas runs out at the station on the corner doesn't mean you can't get fuel. The crude that comes from most wells in the US is called Sweet Crude and is very close to diesel fuel. Very little distilling is needed to get diesel fuel. Google Search Oil Refining. It isn't brain surgery. A group with minimal skills and average intelligence could have a refinery running in a short time.
Google Search Ammunition Manufacturing. These machines look awefully complicated. Well they aren't. They are just bigger automated versions of my Dillon and Lee presses.
The PROBLEM is people. Some know nothing about guns but they base their beliefs on what is fed to them on a daily basis by someone else. The PROBLEM with zombies is people. The masses are the zombies. They just go along to feed their basic instincts. They don't stray because it is all they know. It is all they care to know. The survivors are those who dare to live. The survivors are those who dare to move away from the masses and be different.

Permalink Reply by Michael T. Douglas on January 30, 2012 at 4:07pm I still like green algae bio-fuel. You can turn it into diesel or gasoline.
