Can I distract the zombies?

Well zombies are naturally attracted to loud noises or flashy "hear I am come eat me" kinda things. So in my opinion a noise maker or something that has constant motion could possibly distract zombies. Flash grenades could prvide a great distraction. The zombies will be fixed on the lfashing light rather than you sneaking around them. In theory. roman candles might create a descient distraction but they might be more attracted to the man holding the candel rather than the light itself. I wouldn't try it. As for sound. You could have a man in a secure place creating alot of noise by say banging onto plates and pans and the zombies would naturallygo twords him rather than pay attention you you walking by them. I don't know about thier sense of smell as far as i'm concerned they cant smell any bettr than we can and thier sense of smell will not help them find food. so that wouldn't be an issue in this case. How tall are the buildings? Single story? Are there entrances on the near sides of both buildings? Roof access from inside on both buildings? How thick is the zombie concentration and what is the size of the building you are in right now?

take a flaming arrow, and light a bonfire about 100 yards the opposit way from which you ar running. zombies may investigate, but only for a second, because they will realize theres no people there. also, the only time a chainsaw would be useful, turn it on and throw it out opposite window, then run like hell. also, a truck with sharpshooters in the back giong the other way would work.
