in my opinion wouldnt u be able to kill a runner and it then in turn reanimates as a stag since if your going by this timeline a runner is a living human whose mind is basically being controlled by the virus. Which in turn raises the question if its still a living human wouldnt it need to actually have nutrition to survive and water as well so it would not die from starvation or dehydration. although i think that if u shot a runner in the chest taking out its heart it would still reanimate but into a stag

yeah cuz the campion virus doesnt always kill u but if it doesnt kill you it turns u into a runner
As long as they don't become those almost super-human Day of the Dead: Contagion zombies.

That's freaking cheating.
THAT SHIT WAS SOOOOOO BAD! that movie should be wiped from ALL records of Zombie Documenting
i concur i cant believe vhing rhames would lower himself to do that part
I agree. It is an affront to humanity.
Runners aren't Dead they are infected Living humans(Like 28 days later) the virus mutateds there brain but doesn't kill the host, if you say shoot the SHIT out of there chest without severing the spinal cord they will get up after reanimation as a Stag... I think that's how it goes?
yeah thats what i would figure and i would also asume if u did severe the spinal cord depending on where u severed it they could still crawl after u or just bite at u since the campion virus isnt like the rage virus and reanimates infected dead
That's screwed up, isn't it? They go down and then get back up.

But at least it could make things easier. Assuming that it takes a couple of minutes for reanimation, once you get the runner down after shooting him in the chest, you could destroy the brain to prevent him from ever getting back up.
yeah that is very true and that makes it a lot easier to stop the runners if your in a hurry to get away from a hoarde
Exactly, because it is a lot more difficult to shoot in the head a running beast like that.
why not just shoot him in the head to begin with?
Because when they are chasing after you in full speed it might be hard to aim accurately enough, so it might be feasible to get a larger target that might be more useful.
