Common sence: Basic survival

Obviously the first thing the would come to the average person at the beginning of a zombie apocolypse is to get a bunch of food and reinforce a building to stay safe. This tactic i think is stupid if you plan to stay somewhere for more than a week at MOST.

If everyone gets the impulsion to stockpile food then get to shelter then that means all supermarkets will be swarming with the living desperately trying to fight their way to supplies. Which means many people in one place an an optimal choice for a zombie attack. Its like a flare in the dark for zombies. This obviously goes for malls and weapon stores because another common sence thought would be to go to a gun store or retailer and get some guns, chances are by the time you get there they will most likely be completely empty or completely filled with the undead.

If you do plan to stock pile food then make sure to get NON PERISHABLE FOOD.
