Common Sence: Food for survival (short to medium turm outbreak)

Now this is not a difficult section to cover but there are a few tricky aspects to get around. As i said in my first discussion, most food retailers and other places similar will most likely be swarming with the living in the first stages of a zombie apocolypse, i recommend that you do NOT go near the areas because so many people in a single area is a breeding ground for the undead. So many people in the same spot will draw the undead to that position most likely breaking into chaos and gunfire, putting individuals in risk of being eaten and shot. And the only thing worse then getting eaten in a zombie apocolypse is getting shot by someone who thinks YOUR a zombie.

Its recommended that you have a large stockpile of NON PERISHABLE FOOD on hand in your domain that you choose ahead of time so that you do not have to risk leaving your protective haven in order to get supplies. Its important that you get non perishable food like canned goods (long lasting but not non perishable) and preferabley military MRE food rations because of their simplicity and their ability to litterally cook themselves without the use of an electric or gas powered heat source. This is important because you never know how long an outbreak is going to last (if it ever ends) so you want to be prepared ahead of time so that you can devise a plan without the fear of starvation. Power is also a large factor in this sistuation because most canned goods require cooking and common sence tells you that in a zombie apocolypse power will not be on for long. This is the main reason why military MRE's are a prime choice.

Purified water. A must. Faucest water may become contaminated or may be even the source of the outbreak, so you want a large supply of purified water so that you do not have to visit a retail store (stated earlier) Casual home purifying water systems will most likely not be completely successful at taking the bacteria out of contaminated water so it is better to not risk taking a chance drinking it. Better safe then sorry.
