Would anyone consider crossing their country's borders to escape the infection (before the infection had spread, assuming) or are we all kind of focused on staying in our own home territory?

I don't know about you all, but I'd love to see some Mexican zombies down south, because it seems like the majority of zombies reflected in popular culture are whites and/or Americans, with the exception of the 28 Days/Weeks later movies....but they were also almost all lily white.

What about Canada? Millions of miles of open range with only the teeniest possibility of meeting anyone infected. Probably a good stronghold, right?

It'd be nice to hear from some people living in Europe on this topic.

Fast are fresh according to Max Brooks' own Zombie Survival Guide. They have no powers other then the ability they had in life. They are fast because they are freshly turned.

Still Can't wait.
im in the uk near London, and i wouldn't cross the border unless i had no other choice, the weather here is ok most of the year, the towns are bound to have some food in them and we have so many different races here i would see zombies of all colours (other than pasty bloodless white/green).

i suppose if i really wanted a change i could paddle across to france, it wouldn't be that different from before the super flu
no thanks i prefer to stay home
I don't think going to Canada would be best, I mean think what happens when "The shit hits the fan" go north. If you do go to Canada only stay until more refugees show up, then get out not to Alaska but maybe Greenland or the very tip or Canada.
I'm going to canada no second thought about it there the open land is great and the winters can kill the zombies easily. Maybe even states like idaho or the dakotas. all for the same reasons. I lived in europe for many years and my response would be to stay b/c of castles. I a key to one or two while is there. and they have private wells, structure that will last and has stood the test of time.
Castles are a really good point, and not something taht we think of here in the states. But you'd need a lot of people to defend them, so it'd be better to have a group with you if you wanted to clear and use a castle.
Well, yes and no...A castle is hard to defend against raiders and human beings with intelligence, but if your opponent is a hoard of zombies...pull up the drawbridge and send the alligators into the moat...
Wait...are you saying that most people are beings of intelligence? Haven't you learned that there isn't much difference between a horde of zombies and a herd of people yet?! LMAO
I agree to a point. A group of people will slump to their lowest common intelligence. Individuals are smart and resourceful. People in large groups are cattle and sheep looking for a saviour. Strive to be an individual.
Or Strive to be the next JC. The guy lead the cattle, and became a saviour, why not us? I'm going to call my new religion...common sense...
AMEN
