Delta 32 v. Campion

I was wondering what the likelihood of finding someone with the Delta 32 gene or whatever Delta 32 actually is (please forgive my vast lack of scientific knowledge, I'm a bit of an idiot savant) to discover whether they're resistant?

That just happened to pop into my head. Anyone know how those rare, rare people fared? Anyone know whether any were studied during the initial outbreak of the Super Flu? What happened to them? Also, could they possibly be used as a means of testing cures and treatments?
