Just for a bit of fun, either come up with your own idea for a close combat weapon or modify an existing one to make it more effective.

Post a picture!

Extra 'awesome' points will be given to those with the ideas that look the most fun to use!

Obviously firearms are not included :)

My interperation of what the 'lobo' would have looked like from the book 'WWZ'

....think im gonna build one!
just a normal spade, sharpen the digging edge, cut out two eclipses on either side of the spade and sharpen. maybe weld a strip of steel to the back of the spade head to give a bit more weight to get those necks seperated :D

this is a riot sheild for close quarter combat wit zeds,i could of went crazy with this one but i was thinking practical the options are endless! first off it has l.e.d lights in front for those hard to see places wether its a dark house during the day or for at night.with spikes such as large nails or screws near the top of the sheild for a quick blow to the head.a double barrel sawn off shotgun on a swivel so it can move side to side acouple inches also mounted to the bac of the sheild aiming towards the front so that the other hand can be free so u can use another weapon wether its a bat,sword....etc the laz lobo would be perfect haha but like i said the options are endless
Very Nice! That's Ingenuity if I have anything to say about it.
Put it on a 1911 for me. :D

Haha I have one of those pistol bayonets, totally useless but one of those must have things
hmmm shouldn't the cutting edge be on the top, not underneath?

well in knife fighting terms anyway
How is this useless? Is there a flaw in the product? or the Idea of a pistol bayonet? I think if the product was durable, you'd have a tactical advantage. Being that you could very quickly switch from a gun fight to a knife fight, given the range of your attackers. This would be more for close- quarters combat obviously.
The blade is about 2 1/2' inches long for a start. The grip on a hand gun is hardly the right shape to make stabbing blows to the head. The clips that attach the knife to the rail on the gun are plastic.Back in the old Flintlock days they made pistol swords etc but the blade was considerably longer ( permently attached and swivelled under the barrel) and the grip shape on a flintlock is completely different. Also consider that you either have to attach it at the time you draw you gun, or have a sheath on the knife lest you stab yourself.(finding a holster to take the knife fixed to the gun is another story.)
Fun thing to show of at the range with but seriously of no real use. You can draw a knife as quick as you can reload a mag so it's better just to carry a real sized knife for when you run out of ammo.
Not to mention that even though the blade is small, it would probably throw off the balance of the gun when your shooting it.
It looks more like it's designed to be used as a slashing weapon/attack than a stabbing one.
Believe it or not I designed a Tactical Wakazashi, it goes into production August/ September with Hanwei.
(Sword and knives are what I do for a living)

nice, I've read alot but never bought anything made by them.

I'ce been wanting a company/smithy who can make actual weapons, not repro crap, to make something similar to this

for years, I fell in love with the design years ago when watching the first lord of the rings film, with the massive battle during the intro in fellowship of the rings, between elves and men against orcs. peter jackson based the design off martial arts equip which sadly means that having a 'real' version pretty much doesnt exist :(

makes me a sad panda :( here is the lord of the rings prop version:

not sure on too much of a curving cutting edge on any sword, trained with straight edges and bokken for years so the idea just makes me think that i'll be misjudging where I will be cutting
