The US is rather big. We've run across some raiders and some folks tried to retake Harrisburg, Pa. but they were tore up by the massive amounts of zombies. We've got our own little onclave and have spread out a bit but no real growth of Government. I can't say what's going on about 100 miles out. We haven't really spread or scouted that far.

There was a city called Westminster in California, that we were attacked not to long ago in, heavy firepower, but we snuck of before any real damage could be done, I couldn't them that closely, but alot of them looked like gang members.

I haven't seen this at all here in Detroit, MI , US. but then again at my current location there isn't any real way to reach us and most of our travel is just for supplies we dont really have to move from where we are. We have seen alot of single survivors but they have all been very complacent and accepting of our presence. No rival factions here in MI. The outbreak is bad enough without armed assailants in the mix. Good Luck out there.

Multiple encounters with combined biker groups here in West Australia. There are rumours that the three largest groups have banded together and are raiding all the towns from Perth city to the WA border. They want to carve out their own little piece of the nation, claiming all the production and resource sites they can. Occasionally groups of 5 or 6 bikers ride into the town nearest my "fort". They could be looking for food or they could just be a scout group checking to make sure the areas all clear so they can make a grab for it. Before they came along people killed for food and water, now they murder because the rest of the world is an inconnvenience

I suggest avoiding the bikers until they actually find you. If they are organized you aren't gonna beat all of them. If you take out a recon then you get the attention of the entire group. If possible try to negotiate with them. Supply something they might need. They're likely looking for people with knowledge of the area to ally with. You play it right and you might be able to negotitate your way into being able to care for your group and the rest of the area without any bloodshed. If things get hairy and it looks like they can get really ugly be prepared to bail in the middle of the night.

Keep on the move! Whether you are in vehicles, on horses, or on foot, keep moving! Unless an ambush has been planned, armed groups are much harder to attack when they can remain flexible! Maintain constant communication where possible!

We know now scientifically that ten percent of all people pre-zed were assholes. There is strong evidence that because of the elimination of many mil... Oh, who am I kidding? MOST of the mild mannered civilians are dead. The ratio of assholes has changed! Fortunately, the ones CONVICTED of rape, murder, and theft, are still in Civilization's prisons, left to their own foul end. Unfortunately, there were some out there before this began.

We all have ethics. Build your group on strong humanitarian values - we're gonna need them, and if you join a group, listen to the leader! They have all survived thanks to someone...

You think some of those foul bastards won't try to break their foul brothren out of the prisons? Strong groups will have an advantage. Large isn't always strong.
