Personally i think that they would freeze in a below freezing enviroment due to the fact that as a zombies heart no longer beats and it has no blood flow to warm it's body it's entrails would freeze like water whereas a human has internal heat.

What do you think?

true unless they move enough to create muscle friction to warm themselves
They would have to move A LOT... and muscles make little to no friction by themselves
I think yes, that they would freeze being that (hypothetically) their blood is congealed, so they would practically freeze in their tracks. However, being that they are dead to begin with, I don't think that they'd die. So "thawing zombies" might be a problem haha.
What about Eskizombies? Zombies with enough outerwear to speak of to stay warm in sub freezing temps?

In any case, zombies seem to evolve at a faster rate than humans (see Resident Evil, L4D) so I'm sure cold would only be a temporary problem. Besides, they're already cold as death, what's a few more digits south of 0 degrees centigrade?
As far as the clothing thing, I'll agree. There is always the possibility that someone could have gotten the infection passed onto them in their winter clothing.

As far as the whole "evolving" thing goes though, you have to remember that all of this is hypothetical being that there is no "zombifying" desease that we know of, so evolution may not even be a factor.

Again though, it'd be interesting to see a zombie in full winter garb haha
But you are forgetting why warm clothing works for us.... we have body heat that circulates inside the jacket keeping it warm... if anything the jacket would make the zeds colder seeing as they have only coldness in thier hearts.
Good point, I hadn't considered that factor.
Just more weight to slow the then half frozen shambler down. If it has something big like a winter parka, and if that became frigid it could throw the zeds center of balance off constantly. Making it very hard to maneuver in the deep snow. Most would probably lay temp. incapacitated in the deep snow just waiting for someone to walk by. Or until the warmer seasons come and they can once then arise. : /
is Eskizombies an actual word?
Humans freeze, living or not. It just takes a while. Most people are smart enough to get out of the cold before it happens. Zombies are not smart enough. Even if zombies have a working circulatory system of some kind ( a very debateable if). Their extremities would freeze pretty solid, at least enough that they wouldn't be much of a threat.
well for a few weeks if they evolve fast they freeze until they adapt and figure out a new field of ice combat and then well be in sersous trouble because they can end up camoing themselves in a snow coverd field
I think that the zombies will freeze. It will take a little while.
Because there is no blood flow in there veins. The blood is already coagulated and since they don't need a heartbeat to stay alive. They don't have to be afraid for hypothermia and such.
But I think that the muscles will freeze overtime. It will be stiff from the cold. And I guess it will work slowly in and freezes the rest of the muscles. And it will be a frozen zombie popsickle, all you need to do then is smash the head.
