Ok, a lot of people have their homes ready with a good stash of supplies and weapons, but the chances of you being there when the infection hits are slim. Chances are you will be at work or school when the SHTF. The roads will be chaos in cities and larger towns, how are you going to get back home? Do you have anything in your car or do you carry anything everyday that will help you get there?

Personally I work from home so it's not a major issue, but my car does have a basic Bug out kit, a machete, and 5 gallons of water in at all times. The back pack I always carry on my m/cycle has the same except for the machete,I'd have to improvise there. There is a limit to what you can carry in the way of weapons and not fall foul of the law (no firearm carry laws where I am).

Let's hear your ideas.......

oh holy crap, ihave to get home to get Lola. ok first pops guns then to the apt 4 miles away and then back to pops and grandmaw.
Remember your walkie talkies, you wouldn't want to head back to your grandpa's house with Lola and find out that their position has been compromised D;
Im not going home man, my home are my friends, my family, my girl, and my cat hehe.
I mean if they die or they can come with me its oK, but i want to travel around the globe, im not staying in mexico city until all the zeds get stuck in my little house.

Maybe ill go for a time to a friends penthouse but im still want to travel (convoy maybe).

Im Ready
I usually take a bus to and from school everyday (I CAN drive though, manual if need be *gasp*). From seven am until rush hour, I'm outside in the open city. If I were to miss the bus, I'd have to call one of my close friends for a ride, and if THAT plan were to fail, I would then have to run sixteen blocks to my apartment (which has a pantry STOCKED and ready with canned stuff). My ICE (In case of emergency) backpack is usually tucked away in my closet in case we had to leave in a hurry. It has: food, walkie-talkies, flashlights, batteries, rechargeable radio lamps, can of Zippo oil, tons of matches/lighters, Heat Packets, a compass, a (good) knife, mosquito coils, first aid kit, rubbing alcohol, whistles,a harmonica, Ibuprofen, laser pointers, bottled water, can of spray paint, some rope, vitamin tablets, a road map of California, an atlas, and binoculars; Every little thing in it has it's purpose. Even if home was not my intended destination, dropping by to get my pack would be a MUST. Sad thing is my only weapons are a single barrel shotgun (that I've never actually fired) with a pathetically low amount of ammunition, bamboo kali sticks, and a freakin aluminum bat lol.
Don't downplay your weaponry. You've got more then others.
You were waiting for me to say the k word weren't you XD (katana) oh man that cracks me up too, we can't all be Yojimbo lol, I'd rather be Sheriff Trinity anyways
Didn't even think of a katana!
yeah everybody thinks they can be like some kind of Jedi or Aragorn, but i have one its quite heavy and most of the time the balde isnt sharp enough to kill a zombie.....
ummmm a real katana is extremely sharp what most ppl dont realise though is that a real katana is hard to come by its not something you can go to the mall and get for fifty bucks its something hand crafted folded to perfection and sharpened to a razors edge and it takes an extreme amount of skill to be able to use properly especially in stressfull situations
^I agree

Here's my view on the katana-if you plan on using one that you got from the home shopping network and have little to no skill in bladed weapons, DON'T. But, if you have an authentic, hand-made, I-can-accidentally-cut-you-in-half katana and are skilled enough to use it, you can do a lot worse.
yeah for people who dont posses one or cant afford one, think its unuseful, but i gotta tell you i have quite an experience, yeah somethimes i cut myself when i clean it or somethimes practicing .....
My self would not use blades, I'd go for spikes or pikes. (ex Trench Knife)
The Katana is a widely known exotic weapon. Myself have a novelty one on the wall. But remember the force it takes even with an authentic one to cut through human bone. And with such force it would cause massive fatigue.
Blade do not need reloading .BUT what good does it do if after 5 confirmed kills your too weak and tired and become overwhelmed. I am no saying to rule it out, just something to consider.
