Getting supplies
Okay just wanted to get some thoughts on tactics surviving in a post Zpoc world, specifically scavenging for supplies.
To start off no matter how prepared you are you will probably run out of something. For my team it is food, we've got enough to get a while, but really no way to get more aside from raiding local stores. We only have at most 8 guys so we would have to be fast in order to avoid trouble. I am thinking a small two man covers the other six who sweep and clear a store to get whatever provisions we need,
Try to keep your replies realistic for your situation; if your by yourself tell me that and not what you would do if you had 12 other guys with you.

Slow is safe, safe is fast. That is a term used in CQB. It is a term that crosses over into most anything. If you're going too fast you could miss something important. Secure and area. Slow down. Find what you're looking for and then some. If you're going too fast you can also end up running right in to trouble. Supplies will dwindle fast, especially in urban areas. What you want to do is determine where the distribution centers are for different markets. Look at packaging closely. Ask somene who looks like a manager or ask a truck driver making a delivery. If they look at you like you're nuts tell them you're looking for warehouse work. Most people will be searching house to house or in stores long looted. Most are unaware where the distribution centers are. They can be a gold mine in a SHTF situation. Hope no one has the idea before you do. Hell, it might not be a bad idea to get a job at one of these places in the warehouse.
I know exactly where the Wal Mart and Lowes distribution centers are in this area. They are easy access and not descript except for the signs at the locked gates/guard shacks. I have a friend who works in the Wal Mart Distribution Center. Plus my Pops lives less then a mile from it.

Wow Im pretty sure most people wouldnt have thought of that, very useful. Im going to have to look and see where these distribution centers are at in my area now.

my distribution centers are too far, my HQ is out there though, but your best bet is to station 2 at base, bring six, two for door guard four for the store.
