yea that was my thoughts. I have a cheaper romanian ak a buddy traded me for a truck tool box. Its sorta been my beater. I tortured test it, and try all my new parts on it first

Do you think you'd survive a Z-Poc or die?

I think that my chances of survival depend on a lot of factors I do not currently know but I am smart enough to see it coming so in general I believe I have a good chance.

 

What do you think are the BEST weaponery choices out there?

I think that simple weapons are better than complicated ones.  I think that everyone should have a melee weapon (Hammer, crowbar, preferably two in one or perhaps a Mace) and at least one firearm.  If you only have one firearm I would suggest a rifle with a simple action, lever or bolt.  The simpler the weapon, the easier to maintain.

 

And Is melee better than guns and junk?

No.  I would avoid Melee (pardon the upcoming pun) like the plague, but it will most likely happen at some point and having a tool that can double as a weapon is a smart idea.

 

How would you survive if the last functioning city went under?

I would survive fine.  My survival plan includes getting as far away from any population center as quickly and efficiently as possible.

 

Could zombies evolve into some "super zombie"?

I don't believe so.  But then again, zombies shouldn't exist either...let's just say...I hope not...

i like shotguns as weapons but they are very loud and draw out infected. i would most likely die but its fun to pretend. ;)

I'll survive and bring people with me. It will be more then just weapons that will save me. I can build, i can repair and maintain my equipment and i know how to fight with a sword and with a gun. I'd mix a longsword or a claymore with a shotgun and 9mm pistol - simple reason is 9mm exists everywhere, shot is easy to make ive done it, and a sword never fails. a good quality kite sheild and heavy cotton cloths will provide light defence which won't hinder mobility. What will make me survive is i can modify and repair tech - say for example i come across an abandoned van with basic tools and raw material i could construct a wood gassifier to fuel it/ with a propane injection for fast starts. I would fortify the van store food and water in it as well as spare parts and salvaged items. Survival goes beyond mere weapons. Since all cities are gone i'll play with the ruins and build zombie age killing tech like my van. Since zombies are dead they cannot evolve but if they are virus created that could mutate. I can hunt and fish and forage for wild food so i wouldn't have to rely on finding cashes of canned food. so in short come with me if you want to live ;)

And Is melee better than guns and junk?  No, I prefer to stay out of reach of them.  Melee will eventually wear us out, and slow us down.  Better to shoot from safety and fall back.

 

How would you survive if the last functioning city went under?  Boiled water & Ramon Noodles.  Lots of rooftop living and travel on the low, squat building around here.

 

Could zombies evolve into some "super zombie"?  God, I hope not.  I only acknowledge G. Romero's zombies anyway.... Walking Dead is a close second.... I draw the line with Runners and thinkers.
