How far are you willing to go?

I can't believe that this really hasn't been touched on yet. So let me make it. How far would you go to survive an outbreak. Okay so let's say worst case outbreak and the world is beginning to be taken over. It's a class 3 outbreak now but no matter what it will be a class4. Let's say all that you had was a backpack, a machete and two friends. Nothing else, no water, food, guns, etc...
One of your friends has a broken leg and the other was bitten very recently. How far would you go to survive. Not what should be done logically, but what you would do for real.
I would go as far as killing for food and water, fighting for guns, stealing first aid kits. I would off my friend, and if I must because zombies are chasing me, leave my other friend behind. I would try to find other survivours and establish a plan. I would kill zombies, looters, insane members, and even bitten people. I wouldn't be able to off myself though... Think I would want to be a zombie.

I'd loot from other people because my friends are the ones that have my back, I'd Try to get the injured to a save location, make outpost and send small groups out to find anything we can use then move on you. Duct tape any insane people and leave them when the situation its fast food for the zeds and time for the others to run. You just have to think on your feet and you might not have to make hard decisions.

stick together till the infected turned then either kill the zed or just lock it up and leave it. take the friend with the broken leg with you but if say zombies had you in a position where it was not possible to escape with a broken leg and all options had been exhausted i`m afraid i`d leave my friend. it`s not heartless it`s just survival. no point in both of us being eaten. i`d put my friend out of his or her misery first though if thats what they wanted ... :)~
as to the rest i`d not loot from survivors but try and combine our skills it`s always better with siomeone watchin your back ...
