Its been proven that lemmings don't commit mass suicide. The video that shows them doing that was actually set up by a Cinematographer James R. Simon when he was filming White Wilderness in Alberta for Walt Disney. Every thing has a Canadian Connection.

The federal government will continue to "exist" for a long time. The President, his staff, Congress, JCS, etc have installations they'll run to the second someone confirms the dead can walk. However, its capacity to provide resources and affect the outcome of the crisis will evaporate rather quickly.
It could take weeks for government to realize what is happening decide on a course of action. Hunting down zombies probably won't be in their initial response. Instead, they'll try to maintain law & order by insisting civilians place themselves under the direction and protection of government agencies. People who decide to defend their property and family will be seen as a threat, and be met with deadly force. Of course, soldiers probably won't support such a strategy and will AWOL, which would really screw over those who seek shelter and protection from government.
By the time all the dirt settles, the zombies will be in control, and humans will exists in small bands. The president and Congress will be in bunkers enjoying air condition and broadcasting speeches and orders to survivors who could care less.

well some of this i agree with but i don't think they would neutralize those who try to protect them selves. cause even they would know thats foolish. if the problem exeled further they would probably recruit temporary forces. or first try to neutralize the problem on their own first. but they would issue that those who try to go out trying to stop it they would see those ppl as a threat. but those defending themselves or property i don't think would be saw fit as a threat

The people here in Korea are all f*****. Only guns here are hunting rifles that are air powered. Military and SOME police forces carry actual firearms.

thats when if it ever happened you use what you can find. hell if you find a fire arm on the ground take it and make sure you reserve ammunition. if you can't find one then you have to get creative. hell a knife would do if you know how to use it. like if you can get close enough try ramming in the temple. see being creative is always smart. but i know some Koreans that kick some serious ass. Koreans are awesome.

in my opinion id say a couple of days to a week before they launch a state of emergency. first they would try to neutralize the situation and if that don't work then it would be called for state of emergency as you know means every man for them selves

well we here in norway would be pretty well off since it is frozen here monst of the time so we might have an annual zombie hunt during the thaw month(s). but really it is so cold here that there would be almost zero activity most of the year.

so any way, the goverment here would probably send everyone a .22 rifle and 500 rounds in the mail allong with a note saying not to shoot the annoying neighbor's dog. or something like that

Yay A Fellow Norwegian.
Imo The Norwegian Government alone wouldn't last more than perhaps 6 months.
But Depending on where the threat originates and how quickly it spreads i can foresee that the Scandinavian countries would work in unison, Denmark possibly abandoning its land and evac the c8ivilians to other Scandinavian Countries and seal of the bridges that connect Denmark and Sweden. Or just block off the area on the map leading to germany.
Finland would block off the areas that leads to Russia, preferably with the aid of Russia itself, with this in place all these countries survival rate just increased.
My guess is 3-4 years before resources( food) mainly will become a concern if no steps are taken.

The Norwegian gov. would probably fall into shambles in a couple of months(guessing) The only people who have weapons are, Police, military and hunting folk:p and the hunting stores of course. The gov. would also bicker and fight over who's responsible for this and that.
