How many of you are truly prepared?
if you think you know, don't reply. i want real answers. I don't want to hear about, sonic frequencies that melt brains. i don't want to hear about the guy who would hide in a grocery store, because if you're really thinking of hiding in a place like that, you're dead already.
Do you really know how to handle a gun? Because if you've only read the zombie survival guide, that guy has deluded himself.
Surviving an outbreak isn't truly about about firepower or numbers. It is the ability to adapt to an environment.
Also, it most likely won't ever happen. But, it's a nice thought.

A wind turbine for some electrical power. Enough to run a small blower motor or water pump. You can find solar chargers to charge flashlight batteries or even cell phones. If you google it it will come. LOL.

anything can be used as a weapon, as either offensive or defensive, theres gonna be a lot of junk just lying around, especially since noone is there to clean it up (lol)

Prepared as one can be, I suppose. I have the supplies I'll need to survive the first few weeks. I have the plan to collect my former (and future) team. I have the location of where to set up my safe house. I have the routes (primary and three alternates) mapped out. My team and I have the training, the convoy operations experience, and time together in combat.
The most critical part to our preparedness, however, is the knowledge that no plan survives the first engagement, and we have to be ready for the change.

Id have to say I'm only going to fight 1/2 the battle i could, why? Just because i am only half prepared and i cant admit, no i do not have supplies, foods, and backup necessities.
Mainly because I'm only a 18 year old kid with nothing more than $100 to his name.
But regardless ..,
i have the knowledge of how to handle and maintain my weapons, ammo, and i know what it takes to survive. And i know it's not a good idea but many like me will have to adapt when shit hits the fan. Kinda have to wing it and make things work(and hopefully not die)
I just hope this happens 10+ years so i have at least a chance to gather resources xD

I'm still enjoying the activity. Also, a new question to ask, how would your outlooks change if the zombie wasn't slow walk or half-jog. What if said outbreak was a was done with fast moving runners? also, what does everyone view as the best terrain on which to encounter a zombie if it would happen?

Being prepaired is more than guns and food, I also think that being mentaly prepaired is important. Most people are not equiped to make th hard choices and sacrificees that will come. Me I have had a hard life I have food guns knowledge and most of all I have my witts ! Still it will be tough for anyone. Rember its not just the zombies its the unprepaird people, at least the zombies have one thing on there mind "Brains", People want to lie cheat and manipulate !! Thats a far worse enimy!!

i grew up in a very rough neighbour hood with gangs,guns an drugs.But i was raised by my grandparents in a spiritual fashion too and i am native. i know at least 35% of this country like the back of my hand and i was raised by a single mother with not that much money.so every thing i own i worked for.but if you could shoot a drugdealer for fucking up a shipment i think you can shoot a Zed

I think having a diploma on first / intensive medical treatments and nursing, can shooting a still or moving targets, can use machete pretty handy, know exactly how to skinning, cleaning the prey and cooking almost anything, knowing the surrounding forest very well and loves to jog for maintaining health and running ability... As for the shelter - my surviving escape plans are always guided by my woman intuitions and I guess keep moving on and not to be stuck on one place; is the best plan so far for me ...
Well, I might be survive that terrible event ... I hope so...
