How would you prepare?
I like the idea of planning ahead, like in films like Lord of the Rings where they have to set traps and stock up food in their citadel to ride out an Orc invasion (sound familiar?). What would you do to fortify your house/camp?

What I'd do is first, the obvious, lock the doors, board up the windows, board up the doors. I'd also fortify the garden, pit traps, perhaps, with spikes- yeah! Barricade the gate, try and build up the fence..... Collect together all the tinned food and bottles water as poss, gather weapons. I think, finally, that I'd gather together a group of people to wait it out with me, make sure they're all armed, none infected, and none..... evil.
