Shane's a douchebag. They weren't going to be caught. He panicked and saved his own hide. They screwed the pooch on the operation from the beginning. Hell, they could have taken Maggie out to drive the truck while both of them went for the supplies. The more I think about it the less I like the episode. They had the resources to make a successful foray. I believe I'd have to move these people on once the kid healed if they showed up at my compound. At least in the state they are in now. They are not tactically sound therefore they are a danger to everyone.

Permalink Reply by Michael T. Douglas on November 2, 2011 at 5:35pm Its not always that someone who isn't willing to kill for their food doesn't have the will to survive. When your low on food and low on personel, which would you chose? An extra hand to scavange and keep an eye out, or the meal that will keep you running another day maybe. Its all about the conditions around you.
But Shane's tactic shocked me too, but he didn't quite have to do it. And I liked his old hair more o.o (although he has great manbreasts).
Permalink Reply by Michael T. Douglas on November 4, 2011 at 6:07pm I wonder why they didn't bring more ammo with them! I mean, they were going into a possibly highly infected area and didn't even think of taking more ammunition with them.
And another thing, I wonder if Dale is getting over his controlling ways. He gave Andrea's gun back to her, admitting what he did was wrong, and that he had no right to do it. That just might be a wake up call for him to lighten up a bit.
I don't think they really had all that much to spare for a possibility. Plus they knew they were going to have alot of equipment to bring back so they couldnt really carry much ammunition.
Nd I think Dale did wake up a little, or atleast he unshook because he almost lost the only reason he was still alive which that would even shake me to make sure nothing happened to it. Hes just now calming down nd realizing what he was doing was kind of overprotective I think.
Permalink Reply by Michael T. Douglas on November 4, 2011 at 7:45pm there's a reason why they didn't take any extra ammo they simply didn't have it. remember dale's been holding onto the guns and stuff which means the ammo is in the rv. they were originally out searching for the little girl when the kid got shot and then ran strait to the farm. the others didnt get to the farm or even know anything was wrong until after Shane went to look for the meds. going into the woods to search I'm sure they only brought a small amount of ammo because one you don't want to waste it and two you don't want to alert every walker for miles. the guns were last resort. they also though the place had a good chance of being empty. i mean there wasn't any one alive in the school for over a month. why do some walkers go out in roving herds/hordes and others just stay around the place they died.
also this is a bit off topic but its been bugging the crap out of my. there months into a zombie apoc, how did they have bread for that sandwich rick ate. bread will go bad in a week. what did they make there own, cause it looked a little to much like store bought to me. just one of the many little things that bug me.
