okay first off just so you know I'm saint .357. it seams my account was hacked and or deleted and while i work on getting it back I'm using this account. now that's out of the way I'm thinking if doing a new series of testing everyday objects and professional weapons for zombie uses. which means i need an analogue for the human skull and spine. in the past I've used coconuts for this, but the jury's still out on the comparison to the human head. and since i cant afford one of the deluxe ballistic models like they use on deadliest warrior (even though i do know where to get them). i was thinking of a pigs head. now Ive spent all day looking up human skull analogs and i have come up with nothing (damn you Google). so pigs head is the best i can do. now even though i know a pigs skull is harder then a humans i figure that's all the better. but the problem arises where do i get a pigs head. true butcher shops are becoming harder and harder to find, so i posse you this question. do you think i will be able to get a pigs head from the meat department at pathmark? my gut tells me no but i just though i would ask before i walk over there tomorrow. also if anyone on here has a better analogue, maybe one of you know what kind of fake skull they use for those ballistic dummy's, again Ive searched and found nothing on my own. i now put it in your hands lost zombies. if you want to see truly accurate weapons testing then post your knowledge and opinions in the comments. and as a bonus what do you think i should call this new show?

On YouTube there is a series of videos called zombiegoboom. A couple of guys test everyday weapons on a resin skull. They say its the exact same hardness as a real skull. Maybe you can send them a message and ask what they use to make the skulls.

yeah i know i got the idea form them and that's not really the thickness of human skull, that's why they moved on to those ballistic busts there now using. which maybe one day if mine catches on ill get them too. while i like zombie go boom i think its a little to much for fun. i want to do a more serious take on the whole thing. and i may have a source on pigs heads. the path mark 4 blocks form my house may be able to order me a case of pigs heads. that's six heads at six dollars a piece. not bad at all. i have to go back on Wednesday to see if they can do it. in the mean time I'm going to keep looking for other butcher shops that have them already in stock. my dad was a chef for many years so maybe he can give me some leads when he gets home.

now on a side note i need a name for my show and i was think either "Zombie hunter's" or "zed hunters" tell me what you like better and any ideas you may have for names. give me a good one and not only will i give you a credit but a shout out in the first episode.

together lost zombies we can give zombie go boom a run for its money, who's with me!!!!

well i got back a reply form the ballistic torso people and unless this thing catches on in a big way I'm not going to use them. they want 750 dollars for the one zombie go boom uses. 500 hundred for bust with just a skull and no neck. so unless someone wants to sponsor me any one, sponsorship?

Woah 750 bucks thats ridiculous! Guess you were probaly better off with the pigs heads then. But still is there any way you can just make one of those things?

the ballistics gel is no problem its the skull that i cant do anything about. i have yet to find any analog with the same property's. the internet has been very useless here.

No, I doubt you'll get a pigs head from anywhere. All parts of swine are used these days. even the scraps that fall on the floor. Swine refuse is packaged and sent to China for use there.

I think your closest shot at somethign cose to a human skull would be to wrap a melon in about a 1/2 inch of BONDO and cover it with fiberglass. You can get both at the car repair section at wal mart. You'll be mixing Bondo and fiberglass resin so get yourself a mask. You gould probably cover it with some liquid rubber available in the craft section.

i don't think that's true as long as i buy it. sure i can't get it for free but Pathmark seams promising if i order a case of them. also I've seen whole pigs in Spanish butcher shops before. and people do still use pig heads for things like head cheese soup so i think my odds are good. the only problem is i don't have a car so i gotta find one either with in walking distance or try to take a severed pigs head on the bus. thanks for the idea though.

I don't know if they even slaughter the pig at Pathmark. There is a pig farm a few miles from me. They never really have pigs get big enough to have a skull the size of a human before they ship them out. They are sent to a "fattening" farm and then on to a slaughterhouse.

Have you checked on the thickness of a pig skull? I think they might be thicker then a human skull by a lot.

they use to butcher whole pigs there but not anymore. again i asked the butcher and he said it might be possible to get a case of pig heads if they special order it for me. i have to go back on Wednesday to find out. and yes a pig skull is thicker then a humans but not by that much and its better because if something goes through a pigs skull then it will certainly go through a human skull. i don't want something that can just barely make it through. i want something that i know will go through every-time. so if it doesn't get passed the pig then it doesn't get the "Redead the Undead" seal of approval. I'm thinking of using that for a tittle. what do you think "Redead the Undead" where our motto is "because the dead won't stay dead on their own!"

Good Title.

thanks it just came to me. "welcome to the first episode of redead the undead where we put everyday objects and harden weapons to the test to answer the only question that maters. will it kill a zombie?! today we check out a favorite of recorpseafiers everywhere, the spiked war club.!"

well one way or another i got a line on some pigs heads so i guess were ago. so if anyone has any weapons they want me to test just say so. i already got quite a lot though. first episodes going to be testing my three different kinds of spiked bats.
