Imagine this scenario whether seriously or for fun, to ponder if you cannot exactly make it to your ideal area of zombie refuge.

During the economic recession, you lose your current job, but hook up a job at a local large mall as a janitor since the mall has had a lack in visitors because of an infection and economy keeping people out. You decide to either take up the job or starve on the street and lose your house, (hypothetically say that you live away from your parents or they cannot provide.) So you take the job, fairly standard cleaning stores, for a week you do this until one day at work you arrived at a late at night shift, but when daylight comes around, the undead are beginning to Gather around the front doors and around the mall in a massive sea of bodies. Luckily they do not realize you are in the mall, and this is currently keeping idiotic raiders at bay from coming in.

But you cannot get out, so you are trapped in a mall during the zombie apocalypse, they do not realize your there, no raiders but you have no means of escape.

Big question: what do YOU do?

Dont burn me down, I just wanted to combine the fear of not having any preps or gear on you during the paw, and being in a inescapable area at the same time.

How do you keep alive?

Oh and by the way, the zombies are running rage zombies. Any shot counts, but fast.

Who's unprepared. If I have a push broom I have a weapon. Unscrew the handle and snap it in half I have 2 weapons. Wet, soapy floors make it hard for anyone to walk across let alone zombies. Dump the water and soap at the right moment and you are deadly. Hmmm, Lessee. SEARS= power tools = homemade weapons. Crossbows, bolts. Axe and pick handles. Now I won't even go into the fact that our local mall has a bass pro shop outdoor world. That would be cheating. Me alone in a mall. open the doors.
Are you by the Riverside Bass Pro Shops? I used to live down the street about 10 minutes from the Las Vegas BPS. It was fuuuuuuun.
Nope I'm in Pa.
Dood this is a primo location and area to be in!!! Its pretty easy to keep away from doors and windows so you don't alert anyone to your presence, so just puttering around the mall for a while until you can see if anyone will neutralize the zombie threat outside is a good plan. Think about it- you have cover, fluch toilets, food, water, and electric (for as long as it lasts). Add onto that any kind of specialized clothing like, perhaps, combat gear or camping gear, so you can protect yourself if you do decide to leave.

Once you get a good bead on the zombies, its probably best to check out security/engineering and see how the underground piping or ventilation runs. If there's a way to get out after supplies are exhausted without getting your ass in hot water, by all means go for it. Arm yourself as best you can beforehand. If not, set up comms with stuff from Radioshack and get some other survivors to join you and fortify your position. As far as I can tell, being caught off guard in a heavily-stocked mall is a small hiccup when looking at the abundance of goods and food to keep you alive for a long time.
well first i would scrounge up all the food water take inventory try and close the metal shutters secure the parking lot head up th the knife shop grab a katana and crossbow and just wait it out but if worse came to worse i would try to get a car or something form parking lot i think the fact my mall has a knife shop with range weapons is alittle unfiar though but
i kept it in my scenario anyway in real desperality i would try to get to the big 5 across the street and scrounge up whatever i can i would probably ecsape via the roof a ladder and sneaking away at night and try and get back via a series of buildings and hills and such once back in without the fear of raiders i would wait and wait and wait till i went insane and killed myself or the apocalypse ends
