I need 7 ancient buildings that could fend off a zombie, please.

I'm making a list (Ten Mostly Zombie-Proof Buildings of the Ancient World) of ten ancient buildings that could easily fend off Max Brooks' Survival Guide type zombies, and seem to have been made for that purpose.

However, as you may see by the link to the work in progress I gave you, I only have three so far.  I really only know about my little corner of the world, and that's not all that much of the ancient world.

If you have an idea to give me, I'll credit you (using a name you give or your user name) at the beginning of the item you suggested.  Please give reasons why your chosen man made structure is zombie proof (mostly), and try not to list anything that was made too recently.  Also, the building must still be around (no Library of Alexandria).

Also, critique or suggestions on the list so far is appreciated.  Thanks in advance for assistance!

Most zombies cant climb at all, and if they can, not very well. Fast zombies might be able to however.

My suggestions are the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Wall of China, many portions are preserved and fortified, the Coloseum of Rome... hope that helps a bit.

Angkor Wat.
Machu Picchu, Giza, Taj Mahal, Rosslyn Chapel.
I guess Rosslyn Chapel isn't ancient, nor fortress worthy.
Nice call on the cliff dewllings.
What about the Mayan Temple? That thing would be a b*tch for a zombie to try to get up.

I think you could hold out here for quite a while.

Perhaps some medieval European castles that are still structurally sound and have a sturdy drawbridge. I know WWZ talks about using them as strongholds.
I'd say the Taj mahal, because It's so well known and so big...it would be a cool place to film...also the Kukulkan Pyramid is the one from chichen itza, Mexico and is the Mayan Temple that has been referred here, it is a really steep pyramid with a square concrete building in the center, able to barricade it closed and kill zombies as they try to climb the long way up the stairs to the top, also if you get overrun you can slip out the bottom through secret passage. It is very open around it also, great for sniping, and who dosent love jungle zombies. And the best of all is the ziggurat or Ur, it's a huge temple from Babylonian times, I wish I could get a picture for you, it would be amazing for a stronghold because of the height and the open desert around it. It has 3 ways up to the front, all very long, and only one way into the actual temple. It would be a choice of mine to hold up for awhile.
