Well, in an actual apocalypse, the only thing I'd have gun wise is a colt 45 or a python or a semi-automatic handgun of any type... Melee weapons will be better bc of their heightened senses... Guns will attract hordes... And I don't wanna fight off a horde lol(:

If you don't want to fire a gun (very wise) why don't you get a bow or an atlatl? They're silent, a long bow can really pack a punch, and a dart thrown from an atlatl can go through a suit of armour, and zombies don't wear those. Arrows and darts are relatively easy to make with practice, and you can find instructions on the internet. Also means you don't have to get close, which is always a bonus!
