We all know our conventional weapons, but, what do you know about Improvise weapons?

sticky bombs, un powder glass mines, pit falls, and many of the kind can be made with the help of a creative mind.

so here, is where you discuss what you know, and what weapons you can build from scratch.

heres a few from me,

tin can bombs, take a metal can, soda, soup, or any tin or metal tin can, fill it with gun powder and metal objects such as screws, nails, buck shot balls, and/or a ton of BBs.

seal the top with some like dutch tape around a fuse. take it, light it and throw it at a horde and get clear. the shrapnel will cut some down and cripple a few.

stickys, you know the classic, take a sock, stuff it with some sort of explosive, cover it with sticky grease, stick a fuse in it. good in making a hole in a horde or hampering a death squad's movement.

pit falls, only if your out in the sticks or woods. dig a big hole in the ground, cover it up, and lure a horde and watch them all fall into the hole, throw some fire into it and there you have it, Zombiecue.

How about napalm? Dissolve a lot of styrofoam in a little gasoline and the white putty substance known as napalm will stick to and burn anything. It can also burn for a ridiculously long time. Careful sticking it to zombies, because if you don't hit them just right you have a flaming zombie coming after you. Then there's thermite. Two parts aluminum powder one part iron oxide, commonly known as rust. It burns at a hot enough temperature to melt even titanium. Mix it into modeling clay and you get shaped charges, perfect for busting locks. The ones on your neighbor's gun cabinet, for example.

did you get that from weponology on the military channel  thats pretty good thinking thou

ive had this idea for a while. make a nice size pipe bomb and weld like 20 nails on the outside then weld a peice of rebar to the bottom, light and throw hard so it gets stuck in whatever you want, zombies, doors,cars.....and heres an easyer one. get a smaller pipe bomb like say 1" D and drill a 1" hole thru a peice of 1' 4x4 then hammer nails in the 4x4. also when it blows it will throw nails everywhere.
Napalm cocktails, sure not the best in anti-zombie combat, but good when need to fend off raiders, just replace the liquor or gas/oil, with homemade napalm, pour it into a beer bottle, stuff the cloth, light and throw. and watch the inferno spread with out a chance of being put out.

also home made napalm is like Greek fire, once its on you can't get it off, and it can't be put out with water, unless its foam.

This is a link to "Homemade Guns and Homemade Ammo" by Ronald Brown. It's very informative. I ordered a copy from Amazon for $14.49. I should have it next week. Bows and Arrows are somewhat easy to make and accurate and lethal. I remember making a miniature bow and arrows as a kid out of saplings and fishing line. The arrows could penetrate cardboard from a short distance away. Using toold available to most people at Wal Mart the Regular Joe can be a one man Rambo. LOL
I got the book via UPS yesterday.
a spud gun or airgun is good for its power and you can fire homemade stuff like
pipe bombs
smoke bombs
fireballs (lol)
cut dowels with nails in them
concrete slugs
bolts, nails, screws
marbles
arrows
darts

i would choose a mace for close combat. the kind with like cone things not the ones with those long nails sticking out

hers a good one: a bat with a 1' nail in it and nail or weld a spring a little shorter then the nail to the bat so when you hit your target it flys back out so your ready for your next one

and for lots of zombies or to deter them you can do this:
get a 2 litre bottle (or any kind you can find) and fill like 1 cup of bleach then add 1 cup of ammonia then close the lid and quickly throw. it will explode doing damage and spry toxic acid at the same time

molotovs would be cool for lots of them for far away cuz by the time they get close to you the fire will have already got to there brain or just killed them

homemade plastic explosive would be nice but hard to make. you can get supplise from raiding houses drug stores and if possible trade with fellow survivers for some

some tools you have to carry with you would be
bolts cutters
crowbar
knives (also can be used as screw drivers)
some needlenose plyers
a hacksaw

here's a handy manual that's pretty cool that explains in details about improvised weapons.

its free to copy, print & even resell, although i don't know where you wanna be linked with that kind of publication.

a evil little thing I invented: the Penny Bomb. take a standard cricket bomb and surround it with pennies stacked vertically, hold those in place with candle wax. on average it takes 165 pennies ($1.65) to completely surround the cricket bomb. rather than 6 stacks of coins I'd suggest a spiral pattern, where you build each layer offset by about 1/5 a penny to the right, in the end you'll have this pretty cool spiral pattern of pennies. the pennies add considerable shrapnel capability to a ordinary cricket bomb.

next, the cricket bomb. i dunno where the name cricket bomb came from. take a empty 12 gram co2 cartridge (used in BB guns) and drill out the little hole on top to 3mm wide. i'd recommend titanium nitrate bits for the drilling. once you;d widened the hole, cleaned it up and deburred it, make a little paper funnel and fill the co2 cartridge with blackpowder or a black powder substitute. do not use gun powder!. if you have flashpowder you can use flashpowder instead of a bigger & louder bang. prep the fuse, which should be at least 10 seconds long, 1/16th Chinese Visco fuse. it burns about 1cm to a second, so 10 seconds is at least 10 cm, or about 3.5 inches. make a little knot at one end and stuff it into the opening of hte co2 cartridge. it will be a very tight fit. wrap paper around the fuse, you'll make a little roll on the fuse-wire where later you'll stuff that bit of paper into the opening of the co2 cartridge. creates a good seal. i recommend hte use of thermal receipt paper, although mashing tape or regular paper will work. the goal is the create a tiny roll of paper just wide enough to hold the fuse to the cartridge. the paper should fit snugly and be held in place with hot glue.

for more clarification, you may also look up "co2 cartridge bomb". these things are like little grenades, use extreme caution when setting one off. its not a toy and can cause serious injury or death, so don't fool around with them or use one in a prank, it might kill someone.

if you have a 10 gauge shotgun, the cricket bombs can be hand-loaded into the shells to make rifle-grenade ammunition. the shell will not crimp, it will be too long. run the fuse thru the plastic wad to the powder so when the powder burns hte fuse is lit too. make sure (test this first) that when firing the shell it don't just set of the cricket bomb. i still recommend the 10 second fuse time to avoid any accidents, especially with misfires or hang-fires

here's some more if you have a machine shop and experience working with metals

Maadi Griffin Co

Maadi-Griffin used to sell plans for rifles and handguns prior to their shut down by the US government, the government destroyed nearly all Maadi-Griffin weapons &plan, so this manual was quite hard to find.

this particular manual describes in detail how to manufacture your own Maadi Griffin .50 BMG single shot carbine and a .50 BMG single shot handgun. contains detailed instructions and data about exactly how to machine each part, as well as where you can go to find the materials needed.

Yes, these plans are for real

and people have made rifles & handgun from the plans. some people still own a maadi griffin rifle or pistol.
