Infection Prosses Theory
So here is my theory on how zombification spreads and takes over. Fell free to give your two cents after reading the following. And of course be polite.
The zombie virus isn't as simple as flu like most people think though it presents as one. In fact it is a form of super virus with lipid envelopes which gives a greater ability to adhere to cell membrane and avoid destruction by the immune system. And as most viruses is capable of frequent mutations changing the viral antigens so the limphocytes are unable to creat an antibody that can neutralize both the original antigen and its replacement. Once host is weak enough it then mutates and forms a parasite that travels along the spinal cord through the spinal fluid to the base of the brain and attaches to the cerebellum (the area of the hindbrain that controls motor movement coordination, balance, equilibrium and muscle tone) thus taking over all controll of the host. After the parasite has successfully taken over, it then convinces the lymphatic system that the virus will help the host body and to produce more to spread to the next host and start the cycle over agin. This prosses takes a while so thats why the symptoms present for a few hours to a few days before the main effect is noticeable and recognized. As most simple life forms its main goal is to eat and breed to keep its species alive.

Either you're getting at i had help or I'm working on something... but no I did not have help and have not mixed something together. I really did think of this on my own. I had a few rough drafts in a note book but I believe i only have one copy saved one paper the rest might have been shredded for random reasons. Everything up there is a product of my mine a verified with medical facts. So it's made up but real enough to happen. If that makes sense.

As it goes with the term "virus" this is pretty good. But likely I would see something more like madcow or rabies happening... or the virus growing in some third world country. Glad to see some activity on the sight.

i also think that the virus needs to eat not just to spread but it is trying to take nutrients that the living body was able to do on its own, that would be a reason for a body to still decay over time without anything to eat.....
