Just recently thought of this. Let's imagine this scenario for a moment: You're traveling with a small group, maybe 5 or 6 people. You have limited ammo and limited food, but unfortunately you find yourself in a small suburban neighborhood overrun with the living dead. You have no choice but to raid houses for supplies, food, water, and maybe guns or other survivors, but while shooting your way from house to house, the horde traps you in the basement of a small house. To your immediate right is a garden hose, all you have to do is turn on the water, which is easily accessable from your position. The zombies lack major coordination, they stumble after you like drunk men on the fourth of July. You cant escape the house, not yet, you need to rest. But how? You get a tarp from the basement, set it on the floor upstairs, and while four people hold off the zombies from breaking in, you use the garden hose to completely flood the floor, eventually getting the water up to half a foot. You gather the rest of your group and run to the basement, locking the door.

Would the water on the floor have a serious effect on the zombies? Would they become slow and fall all over each other? Or would they simply walk through it like normal humans?

You decide.

It might impair there shambling.. a bit?
Why not drape the canvas over you, mind its drench in water for the slippery effect, and just run through them? Play ghost out of the basement like a bat out of hell xD
