What kind of zombies do you prefer? Are they slow like in Dawn of the Dead or do they move quickly like in 28 days later?

I think the virus would just kill animals, they don't have the same type of brains we do, they run on instinct. It would just kill them.

Seccond, an animal would NEVER eat infected meat. Seriously, you must be from the city if you know that little about animal behavoir. If meat is over rotten, or the animal/person died of something like that, the animal would smell it, it would be in the meat. There are few animals that actauly get sick from accidentily eating infected meat. But they would be able to detect something as apparent as the zombie virus.

As for a football player being a different type... the only difference would be muscel mass. The zombie would just have more of it to destroy and use, making it maybe a tad stronger, and able to outlast other smaller framed zombies... but that's it.
Not really sure about that; a dog would eat its master if he died starting with the nose. So I definitely can see a select amount of animals turning into zombies. What the virus does is basically reanimate or rot the carcass and completely cuts off any higher thinking process. Since there isn't any in animals (that we know of), then basically they'd go on instinct and go nuts for "food". Take the rabies virus and what it does to animals AND people.
Animals actually instinctively avoid zombie flesh and those infected. Also if an animal becomes infected it will not reanimate do to a tiny brain
A Ghoul is actually a living person intentoaly living as a canibal
the thing is, an Infected zombie, not a Corpse zombie, would be easier to kill. Just kill them like you'd kill a regular human... a shot to a vital organ could take them down. Still, they'd run around, so it'd be harder to run. It really depends on what you're planning on doing, but if I had a good weapon on hand, I'd definitely take the quick zombies.
would non-head shots, really kill runner zombies?

I mean i would think they would just die and come back to life... but maybe not... maybe only sometimes... it's interesting to think about.

If they did die from non-head related wounds, that would make runners easier to kill. And perhaps bring them down a notch; threat wise.
A zombie head with out a body would still survive and bite. The only way to kill ANY zombie is to sufficiently destroy the brain.
I would prefer just shamblers but now according to timeline there are shamblers and runners. Both are very dangerous and have to be dealt with careful precesion.
Well, I would want the slower kind, mainly because they would be easier to run from. As for Zombie animals, well I wouldn't discount their existance but they would be just as scary as running zombies, but better to defend your house from (Animals Really can't work doors well)
If it walks like a ghoul, rasps like a ghoul and bites like a ghoul......
It must me... A Ghoul (aka. Zombie)
Fast or slow, large or tall fat or thin,
their all good......
Good and dead, and then dead and done,
when the cross-hairs of my weapon lines up their decaying melon heads... ;)
Has anyone read World War Z... if you haven't read it. it explains so much about so many different things about Zombies
animal zombies is a dumb idea. Mostly because not many diseases are able exist in multiple species. Plus it would be dumb for the story line.
aha we have blockaded our house so nothing can get in.
oh hey look a little bunny.
everyone dies
the end
