There have been several times i've had to help out some survivor who got lost or stumbled into a group of zombies.
What i want to know is what would you all do if there was a Survivor outside your house that was well outnumbered by shamblers and had only a melee weapon?

Depends.
Some people shoot at zeds. Some people shoot the survivor, thinking to save them from the pain of being munched on.
Those helpful people are mostly dead now. Once you shoot at zed, more of zed are on you in moments, if you aren't smart about it.
