I don't know about you guys but the town that I live in, is, under close examination, an amazingly well equipped town for a zombie outbreak. I have an Army Reserve base right across the street from my house, a police station 2 blocks away, and a walmart about a mile away. The army base has only 8 staff members on duty at any given time, there are over 300 M16s in crates outside the base as well as many crates of ammo, and who knows how much inside; with lock cutters I could have all the ammo I'd need and some replacement weapons if mine were to get severely damaged. The police station's back door has no lock other than a pad lock, which again could be beaten by my lock cutters, and they have A LOT of riot suits and other beautiful weapons there. Walmart is a great place to stock up on clothes and food and anything else you might need. After all of this I'd go to the local High school and fortify it, it already has security gates, multiple fall back escapes and is easily fortified, not to mention that I know the floor plan by heart. Sit up on the roof with a couple of good friends, eat and drink what you like and pick off some zombies. What local assets does your town/city have?

Okay, first off, where do you live and who is running this reserve base? If there are crates of weapons and ammo unsecured outside of the gate, someone is getting fired. Hell, someone is probably going to jail. Now, have you actually ever fired an M-16?
That I have not, but in single fire mode I think I'd be good enough, I'm good with normal rifles. and I live in Pennsylvania, I just hope they don't move those inside...
Well, sounds like it doesn't matter whether they are inside or outside, whoever is running this reserve base is legally retarded and doesn't know how to follow protocol or law. But, if you've never fired one, get yourself out there and try to get your hands on one, just to see. Not all rifles are treated the same way, and you may find it hard to adjust to a different weapon if you've never fired it before.

Learn to dismantle it, clean it, load it, charge it and quick reloads. It will save your life one day...
I treat my rifles very well. They like me. They are my friend. I stroke them with an oil soaked cloth and ram the rod down their barrel to keep them oh so clean and spotless.

LOL
Dude, what base is that? I need an AR-15.
lmao Jb you crack me up,m16s outside?man why doesnt the yocals have em yet but wal mart ?psh try target <3
WOW...."over 300 M16s in crates outside the base"......if that is true, the armory sergeant needs to be Court Marshaled along with the C.O. for letting shenanigans such as this happen in the first place
I realize that the people running this base may be reterded, but I think that you may be missing the point of this thread a little bit...
No, not at all, just amazed at what your saying....within 15 miles of my house I have four military bases, the seabee navy base in Gulfport, Coast guard station in gulfport, a national guard training center near the air port, and Kessler Air force Base in Biloxi ( home of the hurricane hunters ) all four would be good places to obtain weapons and air assets ( if you know how to fly ), but they will also be heavily guarded until the virus reaches a saturation point, and the personnel are all infected, then they become a death trap...I still think in my situation the best plan of action is to arm yourself, and get on a boat and wait it out as long as you can. that's one good thing about my area, everyone has a boat, deep water =safety!
you can utilize the sea for food, since the population of commercial fishermen will be depleted, food should not be a problem, the only risk I see is other people on the water, pirates! and not the semi- homo erotic ones like Johnny Depp in pirates of the Caribbean.
walmart?????/ not here these walmart wew open 24 7 and got over ran fast with dead fucks. i hated going to walmart b4 all this now i wont go anywere near one its a death trap
Walmart would be a death trap, but I live in the houses closest to it, so I will be the one getting there first, it's a great place for food and clothes...as long as you leave before everyone else arrives...
