Lost Zombie Short Fiction Book

Lost Zombies is now accepting submissions for a short fiction anthology which will be submitted to our publisher for a possible book deal.

Interested persons should submit their stories to Bill (Bruin) (bruinlz@yahoo.com).  All submissions must be in accordance with the Lost Zombies Timeline.  pieces should be no longer than 7,500 words in length (short story length=1,000 to 7,500 words).  

Those whose written submissions are selected will receive 100 Lost Zombies Outbreak Stickers.  If the book is published, further compensation (including a copy of the book) may be provided.

We will also need some artwork to go with our excellent writing.  We will need one piece of Artwork for each section of the timeline.  Writers may also team up with Artists to do one piece of art for each individual story.  Artists will recieve 75 stickers for each piece that is chosen.

Not all stories or artwork will be chosen for this project.

Pre-existing stories (those on LZ or LZ:EoD) are acceptable. If you have a story or know of one, please let me know via email/messaging.

FYI for any of you that may still be following this:

 

Basically this is taking longer than I originally thought.  At present I have combined all of the different submissions (with the exception of art) into one document and have begun reading and taking notes.  At present I am a little less than 1/3 of the way through them.  I will make a weekly update on progress as I know several of you are anxiously awaiting word.  For those who may have submitted and don't follow this discussion, please pass the word if you can.  Thank you!

*UPDATE*

 

I'm currently waiting for Bruin to forward onto me all the submissions he has so far obviously he is very busy at the moment so things are taking a while.

 

However if you wish, you can re-submit your stories to:

and I will make a start while Bruin is forwarding to pieces he currently has onto me.

 

I would like to set a date of the 1st of April 2011 for re-submissions to the new email, hopefully by that time I will have the forwarded stories from Bruin and I can get this project finished ASAP after the 1st of April.

 

You can contact me at the above email or message me on LZ if you have any questions. If you have any new stories or know anyone who wished to submit anything new, then new entries will be considered if they are sent to the above new email before the 1st of April.

I don't think we have to, but it probably would speed things up a bit.

Exactly, if you resubmit them to the new email then the project will be speeded up significantly while I wait for the bulk of the stories to arrive from Bruin.

I can draw, but not a good story teller, have great imagination and know the LZ story, just not good on writing :/

Then draw? You can also pair up with a writer and draw an image that goes with the story, I think that was the general premise of the illustrations.
