Let’s talk game features, we all have features we wish were in a game that we played.
May they be superficial or gameplay inclined we all have our own little list of features we wish were in our favorite games but rarely, no never have a game actually been borderline to perfect, there`s always grey areas which the Developers forget or purposely don’t give enough time on to polish because they wasted time on something they saw as important instead of just giving it, the game the time it needed to be complete. No all if not most game companies are set under pressure to deliver from sponsors and publishers, they all forget that a diamond is not what it is until it reaches the right pressure point, putting too much pressure on it will destroy it. So discuss in a Zombie Game whatever game type it is. What sort of features would you love to see come to life.
Here`s some of mine.
Character selection (example: APB, but improved)
Freedom (vast free roaming areas) preferably self-generated
Proper assembly for vehicles and weapons alike, like in Deadrising or Dead Island.
Allow players to build their own things and or buildings with set parameters (various shapes and boxes and textures to select from and assemble and give them the proper values (select values) Ever felt tired of seeing the same cookie cutter weapons, Vehicles and buildings?
Another feature I wish to see in a game is random enemy encounters instead of fixed or easily tracked spawn points.
Self-Generating maps to make maps every time you play new and exciting.
Destructible world ( dig labyrinths and trenches to build hill sized castle tops and moots)
Now discuss and suggest what you would want!

The ability to aim you melee weapons and hit precisely where you want to hit and do damage based on how hard you hit. Aiming down the sights of your gun is another good one. Fighting zeds under water would be cool. Air vehicles would also be cool to use.Tthe ability to throw the melee weapon regardless of what it is, whether it be a baseball bat or an empty gun. These are just a few, I'll probably come up with more.

Permalink Reply by Claire on September 29, 2011 at 10:17am i love this idea... and i'd like to add to it... In the resident evil movies they used snippets from the games such as newspaper cuttings that appear during the game... how about reversing that and using images (with permission of course) posted on LZ by members, for instance notes from members to loved ones, or notes written randomly like the one in my photo "we're out of matches" that sort of thing... so as you venture through maps you can come across a lot of the material from the book and even material that didn't make it to the book... also gives new members an opportunity to get involved in a similar way to the docu and book.
choice of expertise would be an awesome thing to have... so you choose your character (pre apocalypse background) and before the game begins you can choose how to share our exp points thus allowing you mold your character. Your choices at this stage would then affect your characters abilities in the game however the game could allow for improvements in different areas as progression like WOW is leveling up
