how many people would get married as soon as they could to "soul mate" when the z.a. starts?

I wouldn't want to get attached to someone and then they get infected and have to be put down
I wouldn't see the point... I would perhaps have an unnoficial ceromony or just something as simple as introducing yourself with their surname (or visa verse).
A zpoc marriage would be a sight to see but a zPoc divorce would be very interesting.
i think the dicorvce rate would drop incredibly when it hits, but not the death rate
Well I'm already married. In the aftermath I would do anything to keep my family together. Including killing the uninfected living if they become a threat. I think groups of familys who got their shit together have the best chance of survival as long as everyone plays their part. Even when resources are limited, I would still have more sympathy for stranded familys than a single married couple with no kids. They are also probably more likly to try to decieve you for your resources and make a quick getaway. I'm all for marrage in the aftermath jus not divorce. People should really think things thru before they get married. Not get married and divorced as many times as they want.
like i said a minute ago, i think the divorce rate would drop incredibly, someone elses stated that people are drawn closer together in hard times

not me. might hold me back. z-poc = no god pity. and therefore any marriage would be a mockery of more serious shit at hand

Marriage is just a word...  You can be "married" without having the title.

Marriage is the act of love, thus meaning, weather you are married or not, if you love the person and are there for them thats all that would matter.  plus a Zpoc Wedding.  Could you imagine such a thing?

we won't have government to tax the act of getting married (ie marriage license)

anyone can perform the ceremony of marriage, so, if a couple wants to acknowledge their commitment to each other to the world, a layman could do it or even the couple themselves

If you hadn't already met and married your "soul-mate" then you probably are going to have to wait awhile to meet him/her.

Fighting zombies & raiders and staying alive will probably take up 90% of your time, so hanging out in bars, in chat rooms and the such will more than likely take a back seat to finding the wo/man of your dreams - LOL

Deny it all  you want, marriage creates a bond deeper than just a sex relationship. I know I want a group of good people around me, including a wife. Someone to be dedicated to and be strong for.

Mess around all you want, but who is to say that there are going to be a lot of available ladies wherever you go? I somehow doubt they will be flocking to you, and the ones that do will have to be watched closely or they might walk off with what stuff you have.

I'm with Daniel, if there's ladies all over you in ZPOC, lock up the gear before the grinding,
