I was taking about facing three or four people, seven at the max and thats for a real good fighter and I'm probably pushing it there, not a whole army of people. Yes, in that case, the only option you would have is to organize and arm yourself, unless you turn into the hulk when you get angry.
I'd either go with Kajukenbo or Kalarippayattu. They're both deadly, but then again I'm not trying to kill anyone.
The need for combat against other survivors is rare, unless you've come across someone who didn't prepare at all/enough. Keeping your supplies safe is important.
for the record i would rely on martial arts but their still good to know and i like combat samba, a Russian martial art that was developed for the military for hand to hand combat and draws its style by combining the best of other martial arts namely Japanese judo and native Russian wrestling. just watch the Spetsnaz train with it!!!
krav maga its awesome, but all martial arts are good, martial arts in a zombie apocalypse may be the best weapon you can have, try to learn a little of all martial arts, like an mma fighter with a dirtty backround XD ( kravmaga), krav maga its cool because you can disarm the survivors but just if its necesary
I've taken three types of kung fu for about two years, I'm still going, the obvious con is being up close to the undead, but another rarely considered is the possibility of being too confident, I have watched many "Martial artists" who spar which such an air of pride and over confidence that they get beat easily.
i do a little Karate and Tae-Kwon-Do *enough to say not enough* and I'm trying to take up Chun-Kuk-Do *CKD*
I have done plenty of Judo to get myself through a couple fights against someone average. draw back for me is the lack of enough muscle to put behind it, so I'm not saying I can make it out of a life threatening fight unscathed, but I do believe I have better chances than the regular boxer
kung fu is good for me for that reason, because I am not muscular,
