If a Zombie outbreak occurred what would you use for a melee weapon? I would use a baseball bat

LOL. I have an axe laying around the wood shed. I tend to have guns in close proximity in my home and I have my dive knife in the desk drawer next to me. Not for any reason just that's where they're stored. No kids here. I grew up around gun racks on the walls and a shotgun in the corner. It's just how it was. It's how it is.
Speakling of no kids around, and on a completely unrelated note, my bf (who I think strongly is the love of my life) dropped the bomb that he doesn't want kids ever...I don't want kids either. Match made in gun-lover's heaven if there ever was one.

AND he's quit being a pussy about Z Day and has stopped his whole "I'd steal a boat and sail off" nonesense. He's learning.

Be happy for me. Life is good up here in MN :)
I dunno, someone has to breed. And not just practice either....
Not gonna be this girl! I like my body stretch mark-free. Although it WOULD be great to have more little over-prepared zombie fanatics out there...
they all wanna be like samurai idk it's stupid, they can use one if they want, i still like my black steel kukri machete and my fightingknives, also black steel, they were pretty good price too, got them off a leatherneck magazine.
18" Spiked club. Just to be as brutal as possible. *Not effective in a situation involving two or more zombies*

my cave man stick
See: "Garrett Wade Tools Online Catalog"/ Japanese Chopping Hatchet. Shorter than a machete, razor sharp, slightly "bent" handle for more power to ya! Weighted blade for cleaner dismemberment. Great for "close work", so swing away! Knives will get you bitten!
Wrecking Bar aka "crow bar" , Blunt force trauma/ chiseled end can easily puncture skulls
easy to find EVERYWHERE, Dirt cheap, kinda instinctive to use, also a good tool
oh yeah, can you say bad ass?

Katanas are not ZOMFG LAZER SWORD!!!1!!11!
a katana, or a tachi or any of those Japanese swords aren't designed for prolonged use at cleaving in heads, and even if you had one would you know how to properly sharpen it like a master sword sharpener (which they DID have in feudal japan) ..... and as for people who say knives, have you ever penetrated a 1/4 piece of plywood? (which hold a rough equivalent static psi to a skull) and if you ever have pierced it, imagine that piece of ply wood as a moving, biting , rotting target.
bat's can break from hitting a ball in a bad part where a knot is in the wood and the hollow ones bend and distort. Police batons (modern day High Impact Thermo plastic Tonfas) are DESIGNED to NOT break bones and KILL, so in order for you to effectively use that on a Zed you'd end up working a lot harder, and those collapsible ones are great, ASP is a sick company...however if you miss and hit the Zed on the head with the collapsing shaft it will bend...

I'd stick with a wrecking bar, a decnt quality Utility knife for cqc ( i'm thinking a decent Kabar knife, or a Cold steel Osi or a Recon Tanto or a SRK would be nice) against non Zed enemies and as a cutting tool for small tasks and maybe a Kukhri or a decent Panga Machete (coldsteel.com) for a brush remover/butchering tool for food.
Wrecking bar > everything
i rest my case. =]
Knives get you bitten.
haha i quote "against non Zed enemies"
so the worst i might get would be tetnus
Watch your ankles! And please wear protective gear!
blackhawk Operator boots and Dirtbike protective gear painted matte black, good body protection
