News about LZ Or how to proper inform everyone about whats going on

I think its necessary to get some more out of this situation. The site change can be really confusing for alot of newer members (especially from other countries). Things here are very detailed and often very closely connected to rp related stuff. I miss a clear seperation of the subjects.(even with the two different sites, its easily to get confused)

That doesnt mean to exclude someone or someones group. But its rather annoying then supporting if you dont know whats going on. Alot of people i know would like to join, but get distracted by the fact that they think this is an elite circle of "insiders", the mix of documentary and fictional stuff tends to distract ppl. Especially artists who want to contribute their work.

A newsletter could enlighten the shadows of lostzombies. Something to give you a goal, like "this week on lostzombies, topic "insert topic here"(including a link to a selection of ALL subs which are tagged with the topic) And as a second note the a short briefing on the status of or a personal oppinion from the creators of lz.

The advantages? More stuff can be seen, members who dont want to to search for stuff get informed without spending hours to look it up, and that also can be used as personal thought engine for Lost. Even once a month and update with the best forum entries, blogs, pics and vids, served on a silver table with additional infos about lz would be awesome.

No more clicking through dozens of pages, direct information and feed for the horde of zombie lovers. If buttons will be possible, why not a toplist? An easy to click *much content as possible* thumbnail site with more then a few dozen subs.

Why not a personal note from the creators? You three must have an idea at least every month, some info of what you are working on and what you have in mind would be a motivation you could achieve with two sentences.

I could not agree more!

Maybe management would like a monthly podcast with their own voices, in their own words, talking about the sites direction, contests, and featured contributors talking about the site? It took me less than a day to produce the "Gerald Borland Show" - a fictional talk show about the site. It would take far less preparation to make a REAL pod cast talking about the real issues here.

Some light in the darkness would be wonderful. Anything I can do help, I will be glad to do.

A podcast would be very cool, and the more you know the better!
A newsletter or podcast is a great idea.

We are separating the role playing elements from this site, so in the future that won't be an issue.

But you are correct we need to make things more clear for users. I woudl appreciate any additional ideas you may have.
Podcast all the way!
A newsletter or pod cast would be really great! I'd also love to hear stuff about the status of production on the overall documentary and the scrapbook.

Of course, I've inly been a member for a week and a half, so I could easily have just not seen such info yet, but if that were the case, It would only reinforce the validity of Bunker's point.

LZ is an amazing thing and I'd enjoy hearing more from the creators of something so awesome.
