Susperia is a good movie(and metal band). The problem with zombie movies is 90% of them are crap that a couple friends made over a weekend using pasta and sauce for effects! I watch a lot of netflix. So, I also watch a lot of horror and scifi too. A couple interesting ones that come to mind are Splinter and Let the Right One In.(horror and vampire)
1408... what books that from? it could be a book called 1408 but i dont have a clue, though i did like the movie

you guys seen Paranormal Activity yet?
ya, i find it pretty annoying too

but effective when done right...which i dont feel cloverfield was.
watching House by the Cemetery right now

also, Cujo is my favourite Stephen King book
Stephen King's book The Running Man is awesome, pisses all over the film with Arnie. Also Misery is brilliant. And the t.v. film Stephen King's It. My brother showed me that when I was eight years old. I've never been able to look at a clown since.
Let the right one in was so good... theres gonna be a remake soon, I'm sure they'll mess that up.
Carnival of souls. WIN.
started reading Carrie last night and its damn interesting
WTF.. when did this come off the zombie topic??
Japanese horror.... you guys seen Ichi the Killer, Audition, or Tokyo Gore Police?
Ichi the killer was awesome and Tokyo Gore Police made me lol.. oh and Sick Nurses is funny as hell, The original thai Shutter move was pretty bad ass too.
Audition is excellent,Asian horror is the shizz. The original versions of The Ring,Dark Water & Grudge are way better than the "for western market" versions.
Battle Royal?
I'm a big Rob Zombie fan. He is an admitted horror junkie himself and brings a lot of horror history to his films. My all time favorite is The Devil's Rejects. I also love House of a Thousand Corpses, and his Halloween Remakes.

Also, when I went to see Zombieland, they showed the trailer for the remake of NIghtmare on Elm St. I wanna see that too. Growing up in the 80's my friends and I would re-watch NOES and the sequels over and over. Now, looking back, they are super-cheese, but when I was 11, Freddy was a badass. I hope that the elm st. remake will bring back some terror to the franchise. Jackie Earle Haley, who played Rorschach in The Watchmen will play Freddy.
