I just had a thought.

Given that the forums on Lost Zombies have never really been totally taken off, and that LZ-End of Days is generally sagging in terms of forum activity, perhaps it might be best to reintegrate the two back into just Lost Zombies?

It seems essentially identical to Lost Zombies. Perhaps we should just keep everything here like it was before and leave it at that?

Looking at the way promisses are handled here from the creator i dont think that he will ever will take care of that mess what was done... Through this idiotic site changes (which were turned back one day before the changing should start and i already promoted my ass of for the changes.)

But thanks to that all Younger ones seems to hate me and Lost thinks im a liar.

Hey wasnt it all a very very great idea?

Thanks for all the appreciation, i already regret to put so much work on here.
Well I won't get into the merits of the disagreements between you and some of the other prominent LZ members (because I don't, and probably should not know), I don't think you should regret whatever work you put into it. It is a lot of fun and I enjoy watching many of the submitted pieces and interacting with a lot of people.

But like I said. I'm not sure whether LZ-End of Days has worked out properly. Maybe I'm wrong but it just looks like a mirror site that has no real significance to it. I just think it'd work best if it went back to the way it used to be. Attracting more members for the forum is a sure fire way to get more contributors for submissions for the simple fact that there are more people, and thus, more possibilities.
Bunker I know you were frustrated by the reversal of our decision to make the site 18 and up. However I've never accused you of being a liar, nor do I think you are. If I've done something that suggests I believe you to be a liar please let me know.

I've always found you to be a valuable member and contributor to this site. With that said, I believe your frustration might be better served if you expressed it directly to me so I might be able to act on it.

Users are free to come and go as they like. Users choose their level of involvement. If you sincerely believe your contributions are not appreciated, please don't feel obligated to contribute or to continue being a member.

I can promise you that I will continue to make decisions that frustrate users, at the same time I hope I make more decisions that excite users. I can also promise you, that if you are making efforts to help out with our goal, I will NEVER call your actions idiotic or criticize you in a public forum.
Dario,

I will speak with Bruin and the EOD mods. Thanks for the feedback
I think you bring up a very fundamental and important point.

EoD was originally intended to be the RP arm of LZ so that the Main Site could focus more on the documentary. It was also intended to be a place for the younger members who would be affected by the age limitation and for others who felt uncomfortable on LZ for various reasons. Such conditions simply no longer exist except for the first and that is RP. So we will be working to redirect the focus of EoD to that end. I would love to hear any other observations and suggestions you may have. I have long believed, as most can attest, that this project is driven by the general membership and I always appreciate feedback on such things...I would love to hear anyone else's suggestions as well.
Well thanks for listening, first of all, guys.

I totally understand the original decision in dividing the site in order to allow the focus here to remain on creating the documentary.

I just am not sure whether it is necessary to make that choice. I'm not convinced that separating the forums from this allows any more or less focus on the goal.

More participation on the forums invariably leads to more interested users, and therefore, more potential contributors to the documentary. Regrettably, I'm not too good with videos so I hope to better myself in order to contribute. Or perhaps I'll give a written submission, considering I'm a better writer.

Perhaps though if the new layout is to remain, then the boards should be definitively transferred, because keeping "General Zombie Discussion" forum still keeps the role players and such here.
Good points Dario.

Perhaps we need to structure the forums around topics that are specific to our goal for creating a community generated story.

Any additional ideas are welcome.
I agree. I have been seeing a bit of this in some of the forums and even had to close a discussion when someone started riling people up while RPing.

In my opinions, there are certain forums that should probably remain and others that serve no real purpose but I definately agree with you in terms of the forums being valuable to member participation. In fact, I had been a member here for nearly a month before I even said boo to anyone in Chat. All I did was the forums which I thought were pretty cool (and still do). I see their value and personally, I think that we should audit them a bit, remove some of the older, less used stuff and then move on.

Myself and the others that worked on LZ:EoD would still like to keep it around if only for the RP. Since we have removed all the RP groups from LZ, to eliminate EoD would essentially pull the rug out from under people who enjoy those groups that were transferred successfully so I believe that EoD does have a legitimate reason to exist. As far as moving the Forums over there, I think that we could probably, as I said, audit them and remove many of those that are more RP oriented and moderate them a little more routinely. I am just brainstorming here. Thoughts?
