Perfect Safehouse

What are your ideas or opinions on the best place to set up a safehouse?

Maybe if this underground place had a buliding of decent size on top of it? And your Door way to below be under a mat? or hidden as maybe a freezer

could put a hunting cabin on top of it, little thing but enough to know whats going on and hide the entrance. but camera with a solar power system kinda solve the whole look out problem, and its more desecrate.

Good point with the whole "being able to see above you" thing. I also like the fake boulder idea. I've been thinking and you'd want a place that wouldn't be worth raiders' time to even look at. If the Stuff ever hits the fan, Hell, sooner or later, someone will come after the rotted wood in your walls for shelter or firewood, so anything more than the barest of a place will draw attention sooner or later. So here's what I was thinking, if the resources were available: Build a place under ground that has short grass (to help hide tracks, etc. that would give you away), and lay a small, very badly done area of concrete that wouldn't even be worth sleeping on. Out of the concrete, have your air intake, periscopes, etc. coming out, but looking like the ends of old pipes sticking up from the cement. Basically, make it look like there had long ago been a small structure there, and all that was left was a few rusty old pipes and some cracked concrete left. If you disguise the "pipes" correctly, and keep the shape completely symmetrical (like an un-bent, straight pipe), you could disguise a periscope well enough that anyone happening to look over the land might not see it turning.

good idea better yet burn some wood on top so it looks like something there burned down. leave the ash and char there, people will think it just another burned down piece of crap and better plays to the illusion.

or if you need some supplies an u know bandits or raiders are near by, set up a small useless decoy camp site to lure them in an ambush.

Look up, "Mesa Verde" if your in the south western US, those guys knew how to bug out lol, steep cliffs, with towns built into the sides of them, Zack cant climb.  If your up north, just... go north (make sure you can hunt and build a fire though).  If you are out east well... with the amount of population and number of cities, the virus is going to spread so quickly that your best bet is to probably make friends with a ship captain that can get your group to Iceland, yes Iceland, Greenland is just the opposite and besides, there are shallow hot springs lakes at Iceland so bring plenty of bikini girls ;)
