I, like many other Lost Zombiers (I'm assuming), have dogs. If the Zeds were to attack RIGHT NOW, what would you do with your pets? Would you set them free, put them on a leash and take them with you, attempt to have them follow you without a leash on?

I would keep them unleashed and have my dogs follow me; if they run, I would *maybe* cry but know they would have a chance of surviving without me.

What do you think will happen to all the Zoo animals when they find out their electric fences aren't electric anymore and just chainlink? What about all those family pets and livestock?

If electricity stops, all the lions, tigers, bears, elephants, and who knows what will be able to escape their previously deemed un-escapable enclosures. Now I have something to worry about other than zombies (I live near a zoo).

I must respectfully disagree with you. There are many Zoos across the United States that use electric fences to contain Zoo animals. Even farmers use electric fences to keep their cattle or other livestock enclosed. There are even mainstream electric dogs fences being sold (although, some states have made the selling of these illegal).

Take an elephant for example. An elephant has thick skin. The electric shock doesn't hurt the animal but scares it. Animals have no idea what electricity is but are frightened by it. If you take a cow and give it a buzz equivalent to a human sticking a finger in a light socket, they will be scared and run away since they have no idea about their attacker. They soon realize that touching something equals uncomfortable feeling therefor they stare away from it. I, honestly, put my finger in a light socket before and almost crapped myself. I had never experienced it before and it scared the crap out of me. And, at the time, I didn't even know what electricity was (since I was so young) which made the experience even scarier.

I am not saying that electric fences are or are not cruelty to animals because I am am on no sides in that battle. But, what I am saying is that electric fences are used by Zoos, Farmers, and even the common citizen.

Here is some information (The links lead to sites outside of LostZombies.com)-

hahaha that elephant was like, screw this i'm going home xD
What a Elephant to do when its hungry, walk across a electric fence.
That is a Pretty Bright Elephant tho ^.^
Shame on those people laughing at it
A well trained dog would be a great asset, better sense of smell, better hearing they would make a great alarm system.Mine only barks when he want's to tell me something (usually 'Hey I scared the shit out of that cat " but never the less). I agree with Chris, most zoo animals will starve in their enclosures :(
Without humans there to provide food, you're right. They would starve.
i have a guinnea pig, what should i do? train him like in G-Force?
2 slices of bread and some salad...........................only joking :)
no.... cook him, great for a "on the go" food suply
hey that one dude in the dawn of the dead remake ate his gold fish
They do say fish is good for you.
have I mentioned my plan to make a wall out of stolen cars? i'd probably make a few into an enclosure for my dog

(of course, he is over 63 in dog years...)
I have an Akita and she would be perfect for her role as guardian. The biggest thing you need to do is train your dog not to attack but to bark. That warning bark will protect you from zeds that are sneaking up.
