This was a bit of a fad on another forum, being a slacker I just got mine finished. You go to the hardware store and buy a Stanley Fubar, then take to it with grinders or what ever else you have and hey presto!
Stanley De-animator!
Maybe not the perfect melee tool but a handy tool none the less, especially with a few mods.

Thanks for the comments. I pimp swords (katana's mostly) and knives usually.
I was going to go with a traditional katana style handle wrap but had no ito (silk handle wrapping) at the time so I went with a Strider(*tm) style paracord wrap.
Stanley make these in 3 sizes,this is the medium one, the big one is about 3 or 4ft long, unfortunately Stanley don't bring the big one into Australia or I'd do one of them up as well, although I think they would be a bit heavy to swing for any length of time.
