Requesting anonymity, our source said that the local government issued a news blackout with regard to reports of “dead people reanimating” in several villages in the said province.

“Three children who died Saturday night because of an unknown illness suddenly stood-up at around 12 midnight of April 1 and attacked their grieving families,” our source said.

She added that she even saw photos of the “bite marks” allegedly made by the dead children.

Our source said that she visited the village on Friday following reports of an unexplained illness that inflicted three children. She said that her patients had very high fever and were barely awake during her check-up.

She also noticed what she believed as “human bite marks” in all three children. Convinced that the children were inflicted with rabies, our source said that she left the town and immediately requested for anti-rabies shots. She also alerted the local residents and authorities of a possible “rabid person” roaming around the area.

According to our source, she had already scheduled her return to the village on April 1 when she received a text message from one of the villagers Saturday night saying that all of the children died. A few hours later, she received another message saying that the children were not dead, but were exhibiting severely aggressive behavior.

Outraged with what she thought as a prank, our source called her informant, who then sent her images of the “bite marks” allegedly inflicted by the children on a local leader who tried to intervene.

Our source said that the “zombie children” are locked inside their houses with their families. She added that she heard wails and shouts in the background while she was talking to the villager.

She said that the incident was not an isolated one, relating similar cases recently occurring in nearby villages. She added that the local government had requested everyone to suppress the information as it may cause mass hysteria. She explained that her defiance of the order was because of her concern that many would not be prepared for a nationwide “zombie outbreak.”

Our source said that she will send the photos containing the “bite marks” to the POC to prove her statement. The POC, however, did not receive any photo from the said source. Furthermore, the source did not respond to further attempts at contact.

The government has yet to comment of on the said unverified “zombie outbreak” report.

Last month, several tabloids dubbed a mystery illness inflicting children in Uganda as the “Zombie Disease.”

Earlier today, the Philippine Online Chronicles reported about a woman bitten by a suspected "zombie."
