prolonged siege

ok, heres the scenario;

you knew about the outbreak from one of the "prisioners" of st. thresa, and you began to prepare. aside from commissioning your own bunker. what woud you do to your home/ haven. one story or two? basement? armerment, food, sewage disposal? i wanna hear what you would do.

me? gather all the food and seeds i can and get some soil from outside so i can create a sustainable food source, plastic bags for dew collection/ poutable water. and a makeshift latrene in the closet with a hole cut through the floor ( not goin down there might as well crap on some zombie heads) gather toolbox, medkit, and weaponry and head upstairs as well as any extras within a 72 hour peroid.
then i'm blocking off the stairs with matresses, furniture and anything else i can find.
if i had some extra time i might make a ballista and some javelin bolts for it as a side proj. :P

now we wait for the siege.... metal ball on rope= siege kills from 2nd floor; i got all the time in the world to improve my aim and this conserves ammo from projectile weapons.
