hmm, now whats wrong with a pickaxe? I don't see it as the most effective be its not that bad of a weapon.

I don't see how the pic end would get stuck its like a stake, theres nothing for it to get caught on, it goes in, it comes out. I don't know what your talking about, although I wouldn't have this weapon traveling due to its heavy wieght. I don't see why this is a bad weapon.

Tommy Gun, If you've ever used a pick axe, you'd know that it gets stuck in things...try slamming one into a tree, then try slamming it into a branch...While you can brace to remove from the tree, the "freely movable branch becomes difficult...now pretend that the tree is trying to eat you, and the rest of the trees are inching closer to you...Pickaxes are not exactly the best weapon of choice, but will do if that's all you have...

why would they're be a con, i mean if the zombie apocolypse is upon us wouldn't you just use pretty much any type of weapon you have lying around

Because some weapons are better than other weapons obviously if you had a hammer lying around next to a handgun wich do you take? the handgun because it has more pros than it does cons. Now your going to look for a weapon better than other weapons because the weapons you fight with could mean life and death.

I'd grab both. Seriously, a handgun and a hammer? both are extremely light...now if you talking an M4 or M16 vs a chainsaw, you'd have to make a decision because they are too large and heavy to lug them both around...
