I'd thought this would be quite fun for yall to fill out a questionnaire, discuss responses, etc etc.
Right-o here we go..

1: Your put between two factions in your town during the initial outbreak, the police and those who have been deputized holding a firing line and those who are evacuating. What would you do? Help evacuate, flee, or ...???

2: You and your group are on the high ground and encounter a group of civilians and military personal surrounded by stenches in the distance. What do you do??

3:Your reading the paper and sipping coffee one beautiful morning and a bloody face slams against the window, what is your fist course of action??

4:Higher Command order's your squad and you into the hot zone, which would be certain death for you and your squad mates. Only to fight and try to hold a lost city to the stenches. Do you obey orders?, abandoned your squad?, or something else?, how would you respond?

5:You come across a settlement of humans in the midst of the undead, holding a higher compound being harassed by hostile raiders. Your position is neutral, yet the compound manager requests that you help fend of the raiders, might mean your life but if you succeed your guaranteed a place in their fortress. But the Leader of the raider pack also asks a favor of you to help on one last raid on the compound, telling tales of the riches inside if you succeed in taking the castle. What do you do, and how??

6:You've made it to an evac. station with 3 Chinook helicopters airlifting civilians to safety. Each chopper is going somewhere different, one to a rural area filled with mountains and growth, another to an active military compound in the heart of a massive city, and the last to a private island occupied by a generous billionaire taking in refugee's. Which chopper and why?

well that's it for now, if this post does well ill hop on and do more, enjoy :)

1. depends on where you are. in my town, i'd e with the runners
2. if enough of us have firearms, we ATTACK!!!
3. call 000, grab my old hockey stick, if I am sure he/she is a zombie, fortify the house, get the car keys and wait 'till it goes away
4. I'm not in the army
5. if the fortress is walled and the raider don't have artillery, help the defenders, otherwise, leave
6. the island, zombies can't swim
1. I'd stay where the armed troops are at first and see how the fights going. If it started going bad, I'd bail and find somewhere with a few less corpses.
2. how many zeds are there? If its a group of 20 or less, I'd probably help. If its a larger mob though I'd be less inclined to risk my, or any member of my groups life. At best, I'd pop a few on one side to make a hole for them to escape, but wouldnt get all rambo on them.
3. After changing my shorts, I'd call 911 to report the bloody face. Then I'd carefully look out the window to see if I could see anything.
4. I wouldnt abandon my squad, but I would discuss our situation with them and then take a vote to see who all wanted to strike out on our own. We are after all, armed and trained to survive. If everyone voted for the suicide mission, I would then abandon them.
5. What good are riches if civilization has gone the way of the dodo? Again, this would depend on the size of my own group and how well armed the raiders were. If I was doing fine on my own, I'd more than likely just leave them both, If I needed rest or supplies badly, I'd help the city.
6. I'd head for the hills. Mountains would be more difficult for the dead to wander around in, big cities are buffets, and an island with no way to escape is asking for trouble.

My answer would be that I won't evacuate. I'd rather plan where to bug-in and at least 3 escape routes from that place. Evacuations are often noisy that's why it might attract the attention of the undead. Also, there is the problem of one of the evacuees being infected. And if the evacuation is successful, another problem is the uncertainty of what the government might do to you after. They might make use of you as a lab rat or something like that. So evacuating with the military is a big no-no...

2: You and your group are on the high ground and encounter a group of civilians and military personal surrounded by stenches in the distance. What do you do??

Hide and observe. If you see that there have no weapons or you have a combat advantage over them, then go for it. Disarm them but don't kill them unless they prove to be hostile. You can get supplies or weapons from them or if you're lucky enough, man force (Although you still need to be extremely vigilant). Information is a necessity so information trade would be extremely useful.

3:Your reading the paper and sipping coffee one beautiful morning and a bloody face slams against the window, what is your first course of action??

Get the nearest possible weapon! Check who's in and out of the house. Secure the perimeter and prepare your team psychologically. Most of the battle actually happens in the head. Denial, fear and many more.

4:Higher Command order's your squad and you into the hot zone, which would be certain death for you and your squad mates. Only to fight and try to hold a lost city to the stenches. Do you obey orders?, abandoned your squad?, or something else?, how would you respond?

I'm not even in the military and even if the same scenario ever occurs in my team. I'd convince them to cancel the orders or else, I'm outta here! I'll try to bring as much weapons, supplies, and man force with me of course.

I'd refuse both request. Why? First of all, either of the two request has great risks. If the so called "fortress" is really a fortress then I'd like to see if that side will really hold up against the group of hostile raiders. And if the leader of the raiders desires the "riches" within that castle then they'd probably kill you after you've helped them to lessen competition and the worst part is escape is almost impossible.

Neither of the three. Like a said before, going to an evacuation is a big no-no for me. I'd rather build myself my own base where I can hold up together with my team. It'll probably be in the mountains where I can easily cut any possible way of the undead from reaching us, or perhaps in a middle of the lake for unlimited supply of freshwater and food.

1. I am a cop, been one for 22 years. See the rest of the answers for my thoughts, in particularly #3.

2. Take action if it is feasible. If there is a chance my group would take casualties I can turn and walk away. I'm not going to lose any of my people on a whim.

3. I walk to the gunrack, entertainment center or safe and pick up a firearms. I would also pick up a cell phone. I then investigate. If it's a prank they'll wish they were dead.

4. Higher Command, LOL! Who is Higher command. As a police detective I get paid to do a job, I don't get paid to die. I ETSed from the US Army in 1987. I don't storm hills or cities. I don't abandon my people. I don't go on suicide missions.

5. In the midst of the undead? Does this mean surrounded by undead or just in your travels in an undead infested world? I keep my people moving away from this situation. I don't want someone else's "Fortress". I have what I need where I need it. i'm not getting involved in a war for a night's sleep.

6. No chopper. I won't be depending on the .gov for anything in a SHTF. You depend on someone and you owe them. The government does not produce, the government uses. People need to get beyond the "I'll run to the government for help" mentality.
