REAL Zombie Attack in New Orleans?

I found this news on a real news site with a title that caught my eye: "Victim says attacker chewed, swallowed". In this article the victim said that a stranger went up to him and just bit him. Took a huge chuck out of his arm. After trying to strangle the man, the victim's friends knocks the attacker away who then wanders off towards a police car. Now when it comes to zombie news we have to read between the lines. I think this screams out the loudest. Click source link to read article.

as of late, I would be skeptical about it, considering the age of this article and such...

If this was a true case of our favored zeds coming to be then- how the hell are they keeping it(them) contained, ya think by now that something would of came up about this incident.

none the less, like every possible case, this one seems a little off and can easily be debunked as the guy was a bit nuts and was having a feeding frenzy as he couldn't find anything to satisfy his case of the munchies...

still, wished more of this kind of stuff could be found...

It would be kinda nice if it was... but there is a shit ton of doped out druggies in Orleans. if it was happening a little more often like that then maybe.

It sounds to me like drugs of some sort. I doubt its rabies, and since zombies don't exsist its not one of them either. I have dealt with a lot of drug OD's in the field, and seen a lot of really high people. It sort of sounds like someone who is LSD, or mescaline. I know it sounds strange, but I have run calls where our ambulance crew showed up to find 4 cops holding a guy down while he screamed about them mushing out his cream filling. The stuff can mess you up to say the very least. Throw some LSD together with some painkillers, and a dash of PCP and you'd have a zombie. The violence and rage of the PCP would be curved by the calming and numbing effects of the painkillers(percs, lortabs, oxy's or roxys) and the LSD would definitely make them think and do crazy things.  Theres your zombie.

Hmm very intresting, the dude couldve been a person with a mental disability, or he couldve been on some sort of mind blowing drug thinking the victim was a walking piece of toast, he was probably on some TASALS, other wise known as Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake.....idk he mustve been on something, especially how he bit a chunk of the dude ó - o

Like I said I think he was on some sort of cocktail. Ive seen some really crazy things in the field. Ive ran some calls that have made be question my religion. I no longer believe in god because of things Ive seen. There are things out there that will make people bat shit crazy.

Sounds to me like a voodoo zombie. There are documented attacks in New Orleans for years about humans turned into zombies by voodoo or black magic. They are exact replicas of real zombies but they feel, hesitate and actually speak. Kinda creepy. Read Max Brooks' The Zombie Survival Guide.

good find but im gana go with its not an infection, now i could be wrong, but zach wont attach then leave when pushed away. and im sure the attacker saw more people on his way to the police car, why would he not attack them if he was infected. also a zombie would not try to choke their victim. and the bite my gus is he was really hungry cuz the older man stole his frige, or he was high on something and just saw a zombie movie or something along those lines, and also zombies cant talk. but i could be wrong, as stated by others could be early sings, but still, good find, keep your eyes open

This mite b random, but animal planet has a series of a show called Lost Tapes, it's about found tapes, u know like the Blair Witch projects, there fake but they look like the real things, anyways there a episode called "Zombies" if I'm correct, I've only seen parts of it but it involves a team going to a old apartment or something and they encounter some Romero style zeds but there controlled by black magic, very intresting, go to YouTube or animal planet and look up lost tapes, they have other things strange or paranormal episodes, pretty creepy, but the zombie episode is intresting cause at the end the whole building is overrun and a construction crew destroys the building, but they still think some zeds manage to leave the building and still roamin the streets
