I still feel that the resident evil (or biohazard if you will.) series are very strong and just a lotta fun.

most zombie related media just sticks to a few keyparts but doesn't expand it much. most of those movies or games don't feed a lot of the questions i have. their biggest focus is on the survivors and their choices. " will they survive? will the guy get the girl?" and stuff like that. but i feel resident evil puts more focus on the zombies, the virus and the company that started it all, wich makes it more real to me. the background story just huge! :)

just look at the birth of the virus. first the umbrella corporation created the progenitor virus, created from an ebola strain. this virus is the base of all the other virusses.

next they made the t-virus or the tyrant virus. it will reanimate dead cells (and to keep doing so it will need flesh) and in some cases cause further mutation.

then there is the t-veronica virus wich cause servere mutation in the wrong conditions, but in the right conditions it will allow the host to retain full intelligence.

next virus is the NE T-virus wich was specificly created to create tyrants (super zombies, the best known is nemesis from resident evil 2 (movie) or resident evil 3 (game)) the zombie will be very strong and a little faster. also it can be programmed to follow orders.

then there still is the G-virus, wich in the right condition also causes a tyrant like creature, with classic eye-like tumors.

there are a few more viruses created in the game but not worth mentioning in this already way to long list :P

this is one of the reasons why i love resident evil so much :D
but of course feel free/obligated :P to give your own opinions ;)

you read my mind
Resident evil RLZ! I loove resident evil more than you ¬¬
haha nah only a joke but i love the history of RE (Umbrella, the tirant viruus, G-virus, etc)
I for one agrees with you, the resident evil series is a good game series, but the last two for my part was'nt that great. capcom kinda distanced it self from the puzzles and the more traditional zombie horror, and went with crazed zombies/people. that is my only problem about the series
I think the 3rd RE was the greatest of them. Good zombies, the real ones, not the mutated ones in overalls. The 2nd one sucked big time.
I also liked RE Degeneration, but not that much.
RE games were a big influence for me. All that creepy atmosphere...when I was younger, when there was no Playstation 2 around, I was playing Resident Evil 1 and 2 for days without turning off the power on Playstation, because I didn't have memory card (and I couldn't afford myself one) :)

RE movies, on the other hand are not a thing I will mention, because they're not worth mentioning. Awful.
yes awful, but it still survived in my own opinion... ya' know..
mostly just because of the zombies and other things.
and the guest stars too.
that's about it.
the plot is worthless though x3 Nothing compared to the real plot.
The movies were horrible, but the games are classics
i like the games but i wish they would go back 2 the zombies from the first games. ive played a demo for re5. it was hard as hell but it looked good. the movies couldve been alot better.
Resident Evil 5 was f*%&ing horrible. Moving around and running was way too awkward, and aiming was like trying to hump an invisible bouncy ball in the dark. Switching weapons was near impossible without getting mauled. The only good thing about it is the graphics.

The movies could have been WAY better. Everything seemed a little too dramatic to me...
Im playing on the 360 and switching weapons is very easy. All you have to do is use the D pad to switch your weapons. As long as weapons are in the up, down, left, and right positions you will swich to that weapon.
good, I'm not the only one who hated the movies.

not only was it a disgrace to the games, it was also a laughable bag of survival mistakes that just dug under my skin!

I could go on with a list but I don't want to rant on some one else's board...less some of you want me to list'em
<_br /> >_>
pssstt... list them :D
and uhh yes your right.
The movies did have....very...funny...moments for me.
one for instance?
the way that everyone gets saved by CHANCE...
i mean.
honnesstly, you have lickers infront of you.
I don't think you can be saved from a chick on a bike that SOMEHOW jumped into a church by one of it's huge [dramatic much?] windows. A little more realism is what I want to see, not a total super powered up chick saving the day like eighty times... and HELL i don't want to get start on the dogs in the kitchen on the school scene. >>;;
