Q1) First I would have the rifle, second to get away for me would be to walk into my back yard and head into the woods. [lucky me]

Q2) As for gear: Well I would start by having light weight and durable clothes that are some what snug on me. There would be enough food and water on me to last myself for at least 3 days. I would have 50ft of parachute cord, 1 entrenching tool, 1 extra set of clothes, two pairs of swamp boots, 1 titanium crowbar, 2 very sturdy and well made sheath knives, 1 durable two way radio, 1 shake up flash light, 6 large maps of different U.S. regions, 5 pencils and erasers, my berate, 1 small box of tooth picks, 1 small titanium bowl and spoon, 1 roll of clear garbage bags, 1 sturdy belt with a few buckling pouches, my trench coat, 1 small first aid kit, 1 gun cleaning kit, 1 water filter pump with 5 extra filters, and two pairs of sun glasses.

As for firearms I would carry 1) A MP7A1 with a strap, 11, 40 round clips, a lazar light, and a suppressor; 1 Luger P08 pistol with 8, 8 round clips, a lazar light, and a holster on my side.
Q1- I live away. I'm in the boonies.

Q2-

Oh, I've got other stuff but this explains a lot. I've got the ammo for everything you see. I've got horses for travel when the gas stops flowing. I've got a well at my place for water. I've got some skill to help me surviive.
Heh heh, some one has a usefull hobby.
Always helps to have some non-petroleum using transportation.

Aren't you Mr. Boy Scout. very nice
Oh, I'm not a Boy Scout. other then the prepared part.
That's what I ment.
I'm training my horses around guns now. I should be able to shoot off their back by fall.
Any chance you want to give away a few of those guns? You can't carry all of them at once, you know :)
Who says I can't. I have 6 horses.
Q1: i live downtown or that's where i always am so i would head for the river then move towards the edge of town. i would use the shotgun for runners blow there legs off they cant run.

Q2: the gear i have is a hiking pack with sleeping bag, a change of clothes, meal replacement bars, bottled water, 1 wakasashi (katana is to long), 1 tanto, dagger, cellphone (hope it still works),survival kit (standered one you buy in stores), flares, and a leather jacket.
Q1: Stay put until the itnitial chaos dies down. Then, secure means of transportation and head for a rural area, where I could work out long term plans in relative safety. As for the weapons provided, I would choose a rifle and scavenge ammunition from gun shops and grocery stores that seem abandoned, but not near known zombies.

Q2: Soldier '95 clothing, Templar Assault Vest, standard survival supplies, radio, maps, etc., as well as cold rations and MRE's. A Jeep Grand Cherokee and extra fuel, parts, lubricant, etc. AS for weapons, just check my page.
