How many of you, like myself, would prolly die in your sleep as you wouldn't wake up to them chewing on your arm? I mean it... i sleep like a rock.  How would you defend yourself in your sleep? Personally if i was on the trail i would make a hammock and hide higer up and if i was in a bed sleep with my weapons on me at all times.

A lot of you are talking about getting up to a hide and sleeping in a tree or the like, maybe this just seems like a bad idea because I am just a good-old-boy who is used to hunting all the time, but have any of you ever seen a fox treed by a dog, it never ever works out good for the fox. I am in support of those who are for fixing a perimeter with tin cans and snares. Though I have to say I could also see road flares and flashbangs, though for some of you the latter will not be legal, and some will have to read up on setting booby traps for the flares. Other than that I can't help the heavy sleepers other than to say it is actually possible to train yourself to be a light sleeper, good luck.
Foxes don't have guns. But I see your point.
light sleep is easy i cant sleep through someone walking down the hall in my house i was never like that till i was being woken up at 7
I can sleep through most things, but when someone enters my room i am instantly woken up. Chalk this up to college roomates and me not wanting to be pranked. Of course, having a range of a small bedroom would not help save me from any zombies coming after me while im asleep.
Fox or c*** aside, the point is I would avoid getting stuck at the top of any sort of tree/tower/roof with no supplies or way down. You could probably get out of it 99 out of 100 times, but you only have to get stuck once.
hammocks or a safe fallback for sleep on the trail go up
Lucky me that I have insomnia so i don't sleep much but if I did i would have to say I would be dead if i didn't take the proper pro cations.
I think when you went to sleep; if you're alone - always go for the higher places and if it's possible, make a dummy to camouflage yourself from any ambush from the undead near you. Guess, within a group of survivor you would have a guard shifts every time, right !?! .... So, there would be no problems for that.

PS. Have fun with your weekends - hope it would be great !
In the case of being on my own. If I don't have a safe place to sleep, I raid a pharmacy for "pep pills" and such. Actually that's probably one of the first things I would do in the case of a zompocalypse. Gotta think ahead, you know.
Is it a good creature that would spawn gremlins ?
LoL ...
I'm a lightish sleeper, I have gone for, I think my record is probably 6:30am on a Friday to 4:30pm on a Saturday without sleep, in which time I had a normal school day, played 7hours of volleyball (don't ask) and an 1 and a half long soccer game, in the hail and rain (we were only allowed to play cos there wasn't lightning >.<) And considering the soccer game was at the 1pm point, I'm going to say even without sleep you can still exhurt you body in physical activity if you really won't to push it. But yeah because of my sleeping habits and where I am, I'm likely to be sleeping on roofs, or in trees or on large boulders on hills. Or I've always thought one of those hobbit houses would be really good because there's only like 2 or 3 points of entry and they have pretty sturdy doors. That's not sarcasm on a sidenote, they actually fully made the hobbit houses in LOTR so yeah. I think I'd just shove precuriously stack crap around my perimeter, windows and doors if I was in a house or outside, so it would all come down tumbling and crashing if a zombie walked into it.
WELL, now i wake up about every two hours. but also i keep a shotgun at the ready, and when i get my ak this october, ill hav it next 2 my bed with the tac vest and a mag at the ready.
