I've come to some no brainer conclusions on an issue concerning the barricading of your home. Sliding glass patio doors as well as most windows are almost a guaranteed death sentence unless properly reinforced

i agree i have those doors and i hate them for that very reason. but the glass is really thick on mine so unless zombies can use tools like in night of the living dead they aren't getting through the glass. pushing the doors off the track how ever is very possible.

You can also cover them in a layer both inside and out of security film. It won't keep them from getting shattered, but will hold the glass together keeping a barrier between yourself and intruders both living and none.

Shutters that close from the inside and are oversized being bolted into the walls are also useful. I'd suggest anything "iron" to be used as shutters. And, you could do the same thing on the outside.
